I've been using this COSRX retinol for about a year now. I love this product. I get compliments on my skin regularly. At a dinner party the other night and someone I didn't know thought I was her age or younger. Nope! It turns out I was 8 years older then she was, much to her surprise. This product has to be refrigerated after opening. It is very thin (not a negative), so I apply it after washing my face and applying the COSRX Peptide Booster. So third step in face process at night. It absorbs quickly and I like that about it as well. I have some retinols that are thicker (for travel, shelf stable) and they take too long to absorb compared to this one. The strength is high so I have found it to be very effective. There is no scent to it and I've had 0 skin reaction issues with this product. I think it has been great at keeping the fine lines at bay, so it is protecting my skins elasticity and helping to keep the moisture in my skin. I will continue to use this product. I always make sure I have an extra one in the frig, so I never run out. I think the price for this product is really good. I have recommended it to several friends and family members who were paying for a high end brand and spending $150.00 for retinol. They no longer use the high priced product and love this one as well. I'm a believer in this product and the COSRX brand. It has yet to disappoint. Pro TiP: if you are new to using a Retinol, I recommend starting out using it every other night and build up to daily. If you have issues, back off how often until you get to the daily stage. This is the best retinol I've used. I love that it is oil based. It doesn't dry out your skin, and I have truly seen a difference. I am 52 and this has helped fade my fine lines around my eyes. The only retinol I will ever use -- and I've had prescription as well that hasn't worked like this!

    • Coming from prescribed tret, this is phenomenal
I ADORE this! I used to use 0.5 prescribed tretinoin for several years until suddenly it started irritating my skin to the point that it was burning every time I applied it so I immediately discontinued and I’ve just been moisturizing my face for the past six months to repair any damage. I decided to purchase this on a whim because I wanted to start a facial routine again and I saw results within a week. My skin was glowing 24/7 and it still is. I personally apply two drops on each cheek and a tiny drop on my forehead and then I apply a gentle moisturizer. In the morning, I use a gentle facial cleanser and a gentle facial moisturizer. My pores even started looking clearer, I’m so excited to continue seeing the results. I’ve been in it for a month now. I decided to use it every day, as I have been on tret for 6-7 yrs, after feeling the consistency and reading the product description carefully, I decided to go with daily use and it agreed with me. I’m not recommending to anyone to use it as often as I do, I just know my skin! 🩷 there’s no fragrance and absorbs well! One last thing, it’s not drying as tret was!     • It’s oily, but…
It’s a fantastic product. Compared to other retinols on the market, this has only one questionable ingredient that has the potential to be an endocrine disruptor, but more science research is needed on the matter. This is meant to be the last step in your skincare routine without a moisturizer. I tried three different moisturizers after applying this retinol, but they all pilled. I use the retinol oil as my last step, and my skin feels hydrated, so there was no need for me to apply a moisturizer afterwards. I love that this retinol is powerful but also gentle on my skin. I experienced drying the first time I used this, but I also used it three days in a row. I learned afterward that you need to start slow, and eventually my skin barrier worked itself out. I apply this a few hours before bed so it has time to absorb into my skin. I also apply the COSRX Snail Mucin 96 essence before hand. If you have never used retinol, I would suggest starting with their 0.1% cream and slowly building yourself up to this product. I didn’t experience any skin purging like others have. To avoid or lessen skin purging, I’d recommend using a gentle BHA/AHA cleanser the morning before and after your retinol treatment. Adding this simple step cleared up my skin when I first started using retinol. It expedited the purging process. ... show more

Face broke out in the beginning. I'm 63. That never happens anymore, but it did. Would recommend this. Face feels good and starting to smooth out a little. Blemishes are gone now. So will continue to use every night

    • Okay-ish retinol
Have been using it for about 5 months. Haven't seen much change. The texture isn't bad and it barely smells so that's good! Do have in mind that not every product works for everyone. In this case, it didn't work for me but I don't think it's a bad product.
