  • Are you chewing on your headphones? ? ?
Color: Espresso Pattern: Headset
These are great quality! When purchasing technology you'll often find many "techies" being highly critical of these items; however, as someone who worked at Bose, these are amazing in so many ways (not noise cancelling, but everything else). The sound quality is pretty decent, but more importantly it is crisp. It also has one of the best microphones I've ever used. I purchased these nearly 4 years ago and they are still in BRAND NEW CONDITION. I'm not sure what the heck these people are doing with their headphones, but after daily use for work and for gaming (hours at a time), mine don't look like a piranha took aim at it. The one "con" is that the wireless longevity leaves more to be desired, but they can be used while plugged in, so honestly not a huge deal - not like you're going on hikes with these. They are "bulky," but that's the price you get for comfort. I constantly get compliments on how crisp and clear my voice is during my work calls. I've also tried the newest model of these headphones and these are still much better quality. ... show more

  • Not perfect, but close enough
Color: Gunmetal Pattern: Headset
I was a little bit hesitant about buying these after reading a few mixed reviews, but I'm glad that I did. This isn't a perfect product and I do have a couple small complaints, but at this price point I think it's the closest there is in a wireless headset. Pros: - They look amazing. I love this simple, classy aesthetic. This is one of the very few wireless gaming headsets that won't make you look like a nine year-old playing Transformers. I prefer the look with the Corsair logo LEDs turned off, but it looks pretty neat with them turned on as well. - The build quality is real. I got the SE and I love the aluminum frame and finish. It does make for a heavier and slightly less comfortable headset, but after a few weeks of use I feel it's worth the trade-off. - The sound quality is good. Probably not best-in-class, but it does sound good. I installed the iCue software and messed with the equalizer until I had levels where I liked them, and I'm happy with the result. - The mic quality is great. This one possibly is best-in-class if you're ignoring the ModMic Wireless. - Controls are simple and placed in intuitive spots. - Haven't yet had the battery run out in a day. - Good range. I can go anywhere in my apartment and generally keep a signal. Cons: - Definitely not the most comfortable. The fit is good, but they're pretty heavy. Every once in awhile I do notice it hurting on the top of my head after 30-45 minutes of use. It's only certain spots though, I can usually just adjust it a bit and continue on. Maybe I just have a lumpy head. - Despite the good range, the signal does cut out a bit every now and then. Not often or for long enough to be a major issue for me, but it hasn't been perfect. - The headset did crash on me once. I'm not sure what happened, but I couldn't get it to sync back up until I unplugged the USB receiver and plugged it back in. As long as this doesn't start happening more often, I'm not too bothered by it. Overall, I felt that the look, build, and microphone quality were more important to me than the comfort. But that will always come down to personal preference. My HyperX Cloud II's are infinitely more comfortable than these, but I've still come to prefer the Virtuoso for everyday use. If comfort is your top priority, probably give these ones a pass. Otherwise it's really a great headset. ... show more

  • Upscale looking, nice build quality and good sound - recommend with a couple caveats
Color: Gunmetal Pattern: Headset
UPDATE (March 2023) AFTER OWNING THEM 2 YEARS: The mic quality is outstanding, and they connect quickly. I have begun having some intermittent audio issues in games / Discord where my outgoing audio apparently gets garbled off / on and this is followed by losing outgoing voice chat audio altogether. I have not found a fix for this (updated drivers, uninstalled / reinstalled software, checked connections etc) and it's quite frustrating. Not sure what I'm going to do about that as I paid $200 for these and I think they should last longer than this. I do also still get a low grade headache after a few hours of wearing them and I have to adjust them regularly to prevent / alleviate that. Lastly, the sound is fine for gaming especially if you set your own EQ settings, but they are not nearly as good as my Meze audio headphones, for instance, so when I want to listen to music, I don't use the Corsairs. * * * * * * * * * * I am a Corsair fan girl, I own a lot of their stuff so although I had been willing to spend $300 on a pair of Bose, I went with these out of loyalty. THE GOOD: These are well built, they charge quickly, the accessories are good quality and the overall look is upscale and not overly "gamer" which I prefer. The little customizable RGB Corsair logo is cool, low key and classy. The sound is pretty good and although I would have preferred more EQ presets, using surround for gaming and stereo for music and making my own EQ profile to my preferences made that a minor issue. I will note that the bass boost isn't super robust, but that'll only bother you if you are into something that has a dominating, door-shaking bass line - you know, the kind where all you can hear is the bass haha. For any other kind of music, you can balance it nicely and they do have a good immersive sound. The noise cancellation isnt total, but better than my older Corsair set and definitely good enough for my taste. I haven't tried the mic yet but Ive read only stellar about that. THE BAD: Others have complained that the ear cups are too small / shallow - this wasn't a problem for me but I have smallish ears and they do not stick out at all, but I can see how others might feel that way. The headband looks padded well enough but it's a little shallow at top (it kind of flattens out) and the result is that the apex point can feel like it's creating pressure after a while. It has actually caused me low-key headache pain after a few hours. If I adjust them when that happens it's fine, but not something I should have to be doing. I have a small head too, so although I had read this criticism in other reviews, I figured it wouldn't be a problem since my old Corsairs are so comfortable. I am getting used to the different fit and it bothers me less every wearing now, but it's not something that should have been a factor at all, and I did seriously consider returning them. I've got about 12 - 15 hours in wearing them but I'm still within 30 days, so I'm giving them the full test, but it's still a slight possibility.) Overall, I would recommend them as long as you give them a good try out to see how your head likes them. haha ... show more
