But it works best when it's used alone. Good, I got the new Imac 27" 2019, I was planning to use this with the 8 gb Apple's ram so totally will be 40gb, but I noticed the speed drop to 2400! And when I use the 8gb from Apple I got 2667 speed, I noticed also when I use this ram 32gb separately, I got 2667, so if you use them together the speed drop to 2400.     • One of the two modules was faulty, takes time to get a replacement

One of the two 16GB was faulty (started giving kernel panics on new 2017 iMac, so I tested on two machines and it gave problems). There is no way to contact Corsair about it directly so I have to resend both modules back through amazon and I’ll be without added RAM. EDIT: eventually I managed to contact corsair, their RMA is awful and you are charged for shipping both ways (old item back and new item shipped to you) even if they are responsible for their faulty RAM. Stick to Amazon for the return and memtest the Modules before your return window with Amazon closes. Good luck ... show more

I just recently upgraded my 2012 Mac Mini to the new 2018 I5 Mac Mini and went with this RAM as it was the "compatible" memory for my new Mac Mini. First time I installed the memory only one stick was being displayed in my Mac OS. Took the Mac Mini apart again and swapped the memory sticks and went back into my Mac OS and all 32gb was there at 2666mhz but I had stability issues like I've never seen before on a Mac, and I've been a Mac user since Mac OS 7. I'm not sure if I just got a bad set of memory or what, but I decided to go with Ballistix 2666mhz 32gb memory in my Mac Mini, it only shows up as 2400mhz instead of 2666mhz but my Mac Mini is blazing quick compared to this Corsair Vengeance Performance Memory. Applications open faster, DMGs open WAY faster now, everything just feels snappier. Great Amazon service for returning the RAM, but I would not recommend this memory for the 2018 Mac Mini. ... show more

It works in my iMac 27" 2017. You have to remove the factory installed RAM and install these modules in their place (1st and 3rd slots). I moved the factory installed RAM into the 2nd and 4th slots, and they seem to work. I now have 40 GB of RAM. I initially did not install them correctly and it caused my iMac to not turn on until the RAM was moved into the correct slots (and the SMC controller was reset). ... show more

Worked well in my iMac for about 7 months until this week when my computer was randomly restarting and having kernel panics. One of the system error messages said that my memory was corrupt, so I used a memory testing program to verify that, yup, 1 of my Corsair memory sticks had a corruption issue. I removed both sticks of memory from my iMac and am waiting to hear back from Corsair about an exchange or refund. I've been building and upgrading computers for over 20 years and I've never had a memory corruption error, so beware. ... show more
