Dropped 16 GB into my Dell XPS and it has been running smoothly. I don't do any overclocking or anything so it's a very stock rig. This memory fit without any difficulty and it booted right up. My 100's of browser tabs no longer bring things to a grinding halt so I'm happy.

Runs great! Just make sure to let your PC initialize the memory. Mine turned on and off again and again for about 5 minutes until everything was fully ready to go. Works great though and worth the (small) wait. Stacks nicely. I have 4 of them running in all 4 slots.

Memory worked alright for the first couple years. Then I started having problems with it. I didn't realize it was the memory at first, so I just built a new PC. My daughter was using the old one, and it kept getting worse. Eventually, it was crashing before we could login to the system. memtest86 showed the problem was with the RAM. I filed a request with required information, including photos and receipt. Then I waited, and waited, and waited some more. They eventually got back to me and asked for more proof. Specifically, they want me to rerun the memtest86 tests and capture a specific report. I guess that is fair enough, but RAM is so cheap that it is actually cheaper for me to buy new RAM than spend time re-running memtest86 to get the specific report they want. Pretty sure they know this, and asking to re-run a test to get a different report is pretty much what I expect from customer support these days. On the whole, the RAM was alright, and I still have other sticks in other devices. I probably won't buy from Corsair again though. 2-3 years, then difficult customer support isn't any better than I would get from a cheaper vendor. ... show more

Been using these for a few years now in a couple different system builds, they're a bit taller than I'd like given the layout of my current build but I managed to make things work. XMP profiles work fine (make sure to enable them, I forgot initially!) and I haven't had any stability issues on my latest build. My previous build with these did have stability issues but I think that was the motherboard failing and not these RAM sticks. ... show more

    • verify bios has proper timings &voltage had to tell my bios 2666

this is my home workstation had to spend time to get timings right as bios did not have optimal reading of xmp even after update it now works very well after typhoon burner and several hours self-help tech time had to set voltage correctly on asus motherboard works extremely well with amd cpu boards were taller than expected buy cpu power extension if you are routing too close to memory be sure to follow motherboard instructions when fitting two modules had to try both configurations for optimal add a small trigger switch to the bios reset jumper for faster troubleshooting i can't blame the memory bios didn't get 2666 right off the bat had to up my voltages for stability ensure proper cooling in the case or the vrm may not be stable i'd buy corsair again packaging was very nice for resale trade value 16gb is probably enough for most people i need 32 with virtual machines plus it just feels faster more responsive windows 10 does great on linux once you get everything right the xmp profile was not right for me steady 2666 would not oclock on my rig i overlooked base timings spent long time at sub optimal added a top fan to my rig random reboots re gone now must've been the vrm trying to auto oclock force manual timing for stability hope this helps my case is Phanteks PH-EC416PSTG_BK Eclipse P400S Silent Edition with Tempered Glass, Satin Black Cases i bought 1 silent 4pin fan top for vrm my reboots are gone now that timing is at 2666 i get 1:1 infinity fabric it fli!es looks great on the desk my front fan is mostly idle thanks to rear and top very quiet build! over 100fps sustained over hours buttons on the case adjust led color glows with aura sync ... show more
