I bought the RAM to upgrade from 8GB to 32GB. With 8GB (2400 Data transfers/second (in millions)): Games like, Battlefield-V & Ghost Recon Wildlands, were stuttering. With 32GB (3600 Data transfers/second (in millions)): The installation is easy on MSI z270 board. The memory speed has to be changed via BIOS/UEFI as is the standard practice. The game stuttering problems went away due to increased system memory and faster data transfers. I also run other memory heavy programs for image and graphics editing which now see improved performance. In my case, 32GB might have been an overkill, because I usually never run multiple programs at once. However, it future-proofed the system considering the games/programs are increasing in size. NOTE: I have not done stress testing or any other performance testing on the RAM modules. ... show more

I am very pleased with the quality of these for the price. As a retired electronics repair tech I have seen my share of junk electronics assemblies and these are of good quality. The fit and finish is very impressive and I can't complain at all about the performance. One thing that has troubled me about a lot of consumer electronics is the lack of proper electrostatic packaging. These are properly packaged which is always a plus. UPDATE: There was 1 bad stick, which was no issue getting replaced and still stick by my rating. The updated image shows the performance difference.     • Speedy lil set, your luck in O/C beyond XMP will vary
As one would expect with most RAM, installation and setting XMP to get the advertised speeds and timings was simple. As far as that goes, everything went as expected. What is better, I managed to squeeze my timings down to C17-21-21-39 and might even be able to squeeze it further, but have settled on the stability the C17 timings offer for now. With RAM, it does depend on the chip lottery whether you can get decent OC mileage, so even my meagre performance increase might not be replicable on the same model. That said, there were no issues with delivery, setup, and installation and just the XMP was a considerable upgrade from my last kit. Boosted my FPS on certain games and is definitely a minimum must buy for really RAM heavy games. So far, so good! ... show more
