  • Absolute BEAST crushes anything I throw at it
Style: i9 14900KF / 5080 Color: Black
Arrived well packed, fired up and went through stress tests with flying colors. Beautiful and functional case, this computer is very well designed and put together. Oh, and did I mention it is an absolute BEAST. Expensive but worth every penny. mine came with a MSI mobo and a Gigabyte GPU. The reason you pay top dollar for this brand is to ensure getting top tier components. If you are lazy like me and don't feel like building the computer yourself, this thing is perfect. ... show more

  • Another Defective Corsair
This is now the second Corsiar Vengance PC I have received defective in the past two weeks. The first was an i7400 I returned last week due to constant blue screen crashes when running applications. The error never stayed on the screen long enough to view and logs were of no help. I decided since I was sending the unit back, I would upgrade to the i8100 and give Gorsair another shot. Well, the new one came and guess what? It had been opened before. The shrink was off the glass, stickers were removed and put back and the trash was in the box. So of course, when I powered it on I had no monitor signal. Looking closer I found that the GPU wasn't getting any power. It looks like there might be a crimp in the cable running from the power supply. Suppose it could be a bad power supply or GPU too. In any case I am done with Corsair. I would never recommend a Corsair to anyone...EVER. I guess you could place the blame on Amazon for failing to inspect a return, but maybe it was a Corsair return sent to Amazon. Either way there are some real quality issues going on at Corsair. What a shame, great looking machine, great specs and a 2-year warranty. But what good is that if you can't get a working system out of the box? UPDATE: The item was returned before. I found the prior customer's RMA in the box and sent it along with the return to Amazon. ... show more

  • An Absolute Beast
Style: i9 14900KF / 4090 - iCUE LINK Edition Color: Black
First off mine is the i8200 Corsair Vengeance LINK edition. I know sometimes Amazon puts multiple computer builds under the same review section so hope this helps just in case. This thing is exactly what you’re looking for if you’re in the market for a super high performance and high budget pre-built. When it arrived it was packaged very well and I was lucky enough to have no physical damage to the PC case. It runs everything exactly how’d you expect given the specs and I got a nice black MSI 4090 (you don’t get to pick what version of a 4090 you get, almost a loot box lol). I’m running Cyberpunk 2077 on a 4K 120HZ monitor (HDMI 2.1) with everything maxed out; Ray tracing on, Path Traced Ray tracing also on and using DLSS 3.0 frame generation with DLSS Balanced and getting around 110 FPS. If you run it on those settings natively you get around a consistent 70 FPS which is still very impressive. It also stays pretty quiet despite being a monster of a rig. I had one problem after a couple days of playing with one of the fans rattling, likely some kind of bearing damage from shipment. Good news is I emailed support and they had a new fan shipped out to me within 2 days and were very friendly and knowledgeable. The new LINK fan system Corsair used here makes it incredibly easy to replace without even needing to mess with wires. I’m very happy with this purchase and if you have the money to spend, Corsair knocked it out of the park with this thing! ... show more

  • Corsair Disappointment
Style: i9 14900KF / 4090 Color: Black
My 5 yr old gaming computer was starting to fail so i was looking for a new gaming rig. After careful consideration and months of research i decided to go with Corsair. A company i've grown to trust over the many years of loving PC's. It's been 5 yrs so i was ready to get a rig that would last at least that long. After months of research and deciding how much i was willing to spend. I decided to bite the bullet and get a top of the line system. I researched through all the major gaming computer builders and finally settling on Corsair Vengeance i8200. My first red flag came with the distance the machine was being shipped from. I'm on the west coast and it was being shipped via UPS from the east coast... what looked like mostly ground. I'm familiar with shipping cause i order alot of online products. Mainly through my favorite...Amazon prime. The shipment was 57 lbs and i knew it was an awkward, heavy package to deliver. But i kept my fingers crossed. The box arrived a little beat up. Obvious dropped on corners...crushed shipping cardboard on one side. Opened the box and removed the PC and inspected it. Removed all the cables and information. Opened the glass side of the PC to remove the foam packaging from the inside that keeps the components from being tight during transportation. That seemed ok. First thing i noticed with how humungous the GPU RTX 4090 was. Closing the glass door seemed sllightly misaligned but nothing to be too concerned about. Read all the supplied information and unnpacked cables. Set it up on my computer desk. Hooked up all the relevant cables. My build was my main display 1.Alienware AW3423DW 2. Samsung U32R59x 3. 2x ASUS VZ27EHE for the sides. After a little fiddling got the Samsung display up to set up the computer with DP port. Everything looked ok. Shut down machine and unplugged power to install other displays. 3 DP and last one HDMI all on GPU. Plugged power back in and powered up. DP port screens lit up but HDMI would not wake. Powered down rechecked connections and HDMI no signal. Tried other HDMI port still same result....no signal. Went through the process of trying all other screens with same result. No HDMI signal. Brought HDMI cables down from closet and tried all of them with same result. Bought brand new HDMI 2.1 cables from Amazon....same result. No signal to HDMI. Spent the rest of the week researching what could be happening with the HDMI ports with no luck. Contacted Corsair Support. Gave all the info they required. Picture of tag underneath computer and Amazon order receipt which was easy enough. I was hoping i could just talk to tech to troubleshoot what could be going on with HDMI ports on GPU. 2 days later still no response. When they do respond on email. They beat around the bush asking same questions over and over. Phone support is even worse. Never asking for order numbers or ever checking build configurations to troubleshoot. Corsair support is a joke. I got tired of waiting so I RMA’d the GPU after talking to ASUS support. Overnighted the GPU to Asus. After a week of being inspected and tests run on the GPU I was informed that the ASUS TUF RTX 4090 had a cracked PCB and would cost almost $1k to fit. Asked ASUS if they could just send the damaged GPU to Corsair because they were on the east coast too…same state FL. They said they could not. Told them to ship it back to me so I could RMA to Corsair. By now I was losing it. Just wanted the nightmare to end. I wish i had better news with buying a pre built machine for $5k. My dream build not so dreamy with 4th screen blacked out. I shoulda listened to my friends who previously suggested Starforge or Skytech... UPDATE 2/09/2024: Got tired of trying to get computer issues solved through Corsair so i turned to Amazon. Amazon will do everything in their power to help their customers. Wasted a month of my time dealing with Corsairs' Customer Support. Amazon got my purchase up and running like it was intended. The problem with the GPU was a cracked PCB which has been common with ASUS TUF - RTX 4090 because of the weight of the GPU. Replacement was a Palit GameRock RTX 4090. Cheaper option but oh well...it's running. Not a fan of the component choices that Corsair chose for this build. Will update after i give it more time. But thanks again Amazon for pulling through for me! I don't see why Corsair would ship an 8lb GPU only supported by a back bracket and PCB while the rest of the card is flopping with no support. Yes they put styrofoam packing in the case to help but it's not a mechanical support like it should be. Or even ship the GPU boxed and let the customer install it when he receives it. Give the customer that option. I wouldn't be so angry but Corsair Support dragged this problem out for over 1 month of my time. UPDATE 8/03/2024 I’ve been trying to solve “The First Descendant” crashing to desktop issues for 2 months. I’m very disappointed in Intels response to this issue with 13th and 14th Gen processors including the i9-14900KF installed on this machine by Corsair. Corsair has chosen to use their own proprietary BIOS for the ASUS PRIME Z790-P-WIF,I 9011 version, which can now only be updated through Corsair. Asus has released the Intel microcode BIOS update for this motherboard in,1661 version, mid July but Corsair have been dragging their feet on updating the 9011 version BIOS on their website. I’ve been trying to update the BIOS to the Asus microcode Intel fix till I’m blue in the face but no luck. Keeps giving the error code “Not a proper BIOS file.” One thing I’m trying to understand is why would Corsair take on the responsibility of using their own proprietary BIOS instead of leaving it up to ASUS who are obviously more diligent with updating BIOS configurations on their boards. I realize this has been an Intel problem but it’s how Intel and now Corsair is handling the issue. It is unacceptable!! Corsair has been a disappointment from the very first day I received this computer and they haven’t done anything to change my mind to date. I’m hoping my experience will help others avoid making same mistakes as me. ... show more
