  • Alot of cables, combs included
Size: 1500 Watts
Plenty of cables to choose from. I wish they were included x6 PCIe cables instead of 5. They include x2 12pin high power, though which is what is advertised for RTX cards. Excellent power delivery to run dual 7900XTXs, X670E Godlike, and a 9950X3D. Can finally hit 430w per card 😂

  • Like a Luxury car, it has the bells and whistles built in, but expect to pay extra $$$ to use them!
Size: 1200 Watts
If you plan on running a rig with a high-end GPU, then this is almost a necessity. At 1,200W - you won’t be having any issues with power sag or the like. The major downside is the lack of the dedicated 12 V rail as mentioned below, which makes cable management a lot more cumbersome as you will need to fit multiple PCIe rails onto a 12 V converter cable. Corsair provides a 12 V converter cable, but some manufacturers will require more than two PCIe rails for power. Pros * Reliable power supply * Nvidia 5XXX “ready” see disclaimer below * LOTS of PCIe power rails to support your most power hungry GPU * Modular cables - v4 * The fan automatically kicks in when the unit heats up at a certain temp so you don’t have to bother with confusing fan switches for the PSU. When the fan kicks in, you won’t hear it above the noise from the case fans. Cons * it’s ATX 3.1 compliant, but it doesn’t mean it has a dedicated 12V GPU rail - only a PCIe to 12v cable - which will not work for all GPUs * Does not ship with enough PCIe cables, so if you need to use all of them, you need to spend more $$ for compatible v4 cables! * Expensive - considering the fact you need to buy more PCIe cables * the PSU runs a bit longer than your standard PSU - so you may have a challenge fitting this into a small ATX case The lack of PCIe cables, plus the deceptive ATX 3.1 marketing are too egregious things against this VERY EXPENSIVE PSU. If you can find another quality PSU that fits your needs, then save yourself your hard earned cash. ... show more

  • Defective out of the box in multiple ways.
Size: 1500 Watts
There seemed to be a loose screw inside of the psu that must have popped out as I shook it out. I was never able to find said screw. This happened as soon as I unboxed it. I figured that was a non issue since I couldn't hear it anymore, so let's just use it as I dont want to keep returning stuff to Amazon (a LOT of products recently from Amazon are defective out of the box and I dont want any penalties). That was a grave mistake. Not only are the tolerances for the female connectors on the psu side not good (some are normal and easy to push in while others are incredibly stubborn and hard) the qa on the cables is also bad. It seems like a bad crimp and I cant push the cable back in to its housing. Thats fine because there is another hwpr cable I can use, right? Wrong. The psu will still trip eventually even while running a stress test as light as karhu. Warzone is an instant crash. I thought my windows was the issue since I've been running ram ocs and testing recently on my main install, it was not and this made me waste hours setting everything up again for literally no reason. It was the psu all along. For a $350 psu, I expect better Qa. I am willing to pay so much to avoid having my time wasted like this. Historically corsair support is good, their psus have been unkillable monsters (cx450 ran an oced vega 56 back in the day and didn't even trip once). This seems to have maybe changed? I know there are defects in every single product that's manufactured, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Specially since the faulty cable was connected to my new 5070Ti Tuf that was $1k by itself. For a $350 product I expect Qa to be better than a sub $150 product. However it seems to be worse based on 3 things being bad in my personal unit. Im not sure if I want to try another corsair psu. At least not one of the new 2025 models. I will likely end up on a ax1600I or something. ... show more

Not sure how to feel. System wouldn’t post (VGA debug led). I was using (4) pcie 8 pins NVIDIA adapter. I swapped it to the 12v 2x6 and it posted.

  • stubborn psu
Size: 1200 Watts
I bought this unit as an upgrade/replacement for a RM850x and while the power delivery is better, the motherboard's (ROG Maximus XIII Hero) boot code often gets hung up when the power cable is unplugged from the PSU. This takes a couple of minutes and restarts to work through, but then everything fine. (Almost like it is trying to relearn something it forgot.) This issue never happened on the RM850x which booted perfectly every time. I am trying to decide to return it, but I don't want to go through the effort of swapping it out with the old unit. PSU upgrades should be boring, not eventful. ... show more
