  • Good Stuff
Color: Carbon
The first thing I have to say and I just have to emphasize on it: IT HAS A MUTE BUTTON! Flip to mute mics are flooding the market and they are absolutely terrible. The more you flip, the more the mic degrades. A mute button is crucial for me because I use this for work. I don't buy the cheap Logitech crap for work. My last Corasair lasted me about two years. The second one I got was a flip to mute and that one didn't last as long. Not even a year. I'm hoping for the best with this one. It does have a plastic look and feel to it, but it's light weight, which is the benefit of the plastic. The ear parts are fabric, not pleather (a plus imo). Sound qaulity and mic qaulity are good. If you're listening Corsair, please, for the love of everything, do not get rid of this model. The model that lasted me twoish years they delisted and I shouldn't have to hunt forever for a new mic. I'll update if I come across any issues, but so far, this mic is great. ... show more

  • Solid comforable headset, but the mic is a downgrade
Color: Carbon
I've owned the V1 & V2 of this headset and this is a marked improvment when it comes to comfort, durablility, weight and general build quality. This model compared to the old ones, the microphone is not removable anymore, and the gain on it is extremely quiet. To the point that i can't use it. As long as you dont care about the microphone this is a solid headset. ... show more

  • Comfort, feels like your not even wearing a headset.
Color: White
Comfort is King! These sound better than my expensive wireless corsair headset, believe it or not. Digging deeper, good motherboards come with high end sound chips that are just as good if not better than what they put in the expensive wireless headsets... They just work, no installing 3rd party bloatware that causes system problems, wired is better! ... show more

  • It's a good headset. It's a good headset.
Color: Carbon
This arrived wrapped in a sort of white felt towel inside of a very nice and descriptive Corsair box. Included was the headset and a small manual. It was in perfect shape. This is a very lightweight headset. It appears to be made mostly of plastic. Despite that it feels durable and built with some quality. It has nice cloth ear cups which is what I prefer. It is quite comfortable. There are three different adjustments on the head band for small to large head sizes. I have a fairly large head and these fit me quite comfortably. It is very lightweight which allows it to be worn for long gaming sessions without discomfort. I will say my sister tried this on. She has a somewhat smaller head and thought it felt a little large on her. She did like the ear cups and also thought the headset felt comfortable. This is a wired headset so it plugs into your sound card or motherboard sound. The cable is nice and long, and fairly thick while retaining flexibility. It is not braided but still feels durable. I had this plugged into my top IO panel on my computer case and it worked fine. That top IO panel is plugged into my Sound Blaster Audio FX V2 sound card. I did have to use a splitter with the headset on my top IO panel so the mic would work. This was not included with the headset so you must purchase one separately if you need it. The volume and mute controls are on the left ear cup and easy to use, although mostly you will just be adjusting the volume through your software. Sound quality wise, it sound's quite good. You may have to adjust the sound some through your EQ software. In my case it sounded a bit tinny when I first listed to music, with a slight lack of bass. I tried some heavy metal music before adjusting EQ settings, and the bass magically appeared and sounded great. Once dialed in on my sound card's EQ it was a bit better. Despite being somewhat "Tinny", it sounded good right out of the box. Either adjusted or not adjusted, I can easily use this on a daily basis and thoroughly enjoy the experience. As one might expect, this headset is good in games. For a closed back headset it sounded very good, and I could easily tell what direction sounds were coming from. This is a plus when playing the large open world games that I play. I do like the fact that Corsair software is not required to use this. It is simply plug and play. I had no issues with the mic. I tried it in Discord, and the person I was talking to heard me loud and clear. I also heard them clearly without issue. The only con I have is the lack of an included splitter, and I am not taking stars off for that. As your average gamer, not a rich one where price does not matter, I am not disappointed in this headset. It is exactly what I want in a gaming headset that is sometimes used to listen to music. I am hoping it holds up over time, and it seems like it will. I think it is good value for the price you are paying. ... show more

  • Great set of comfortable corded headphones for everyday use
Color: Carbon
I have been using these headphones with my desktop workstation to listen to music while working and doing remote meetings. These headphones are very lightweight, and comfortable. The earpads are made of a breathable fabric, so my ears do not get warm while wearing for an extended period of time. The earpads also fully encircle my ears, so the headphones do not put any pressure on my ears. Additionally, the fit is snug around my head but not uncomfortable. I can also wear glasses while wearing these headphones comfortably for an extended period of time. I also like that these headphones have an adjustable floating headband to customize the fit. These headphones have decent sound, but are by no means made for an audiophile. However, they work perfectly for my needs. I like to have some background music playing while I am working, or I can watch instructional videos without disturbing others around me. These headphones are not noise cancelling and I am still able to hear sounds around me, which works well for my situation because I still want to be aware of my surroundings or if somebody is talking. I also like that these headphones are wired versus being wireless (however, a wireless version is available) and provide a wire long enough so that I can position the cable in a way that is comfortable for me. I have several wireless devices at my workstation, and the last thing I wanted was another device to keep charged up. For additional comfort, the earpads also rotate on the headband, which is great if I am wearing the headphones only on one ear. I also like that these headphones have a conveniently placed volume adjustment knob and mic mute button on the left earpad. However, I chose to remove one star because I found the microphone to be annoying. Because the microphone is not removable and cannot be rotated, it is always in front of my face. While I can bend the microphone outward, it still tends to be in the way if I am trying to drink something while wearing the headphones. I do wish that there was a better way to move the microphone away from my face when I don't need to use it. Overall, I found the Corsair HS35 v3 headset to be a great match for my needs. I am not overly concerned about sound quality, but comfort is very important for me, which is where this headset shines. It's lightweight, adjustable and comfortable. ... show more

  • Comfortable headphones with clear sound and good noise isolation. Comfortable headphones with clear sound and good noise isolation.
Color: Carbon
These headphones are pretty nice. If they hold up over time, I think they will end up being a decent value for the money. I have been using headphones with my laptops for at least the last 15 years and have owned some cheaper pairs that sounded just as good or even better and lasted for years. So longevity will really determine their value. As far as sound quality goes, these do a very good job. I actually use a splitter so I can have two sets of headphones plugged in at the same time and switch back and forth between them. Compared to my current pair, these seem to have a better stereo effect and a little more separation in the sound. They also have good bass, clear highs, and overall very crisp audio. One thing that really stood out to me is how well they block outside noise. I think a lot of that comes from the ear cushions. The ear pads are very soft, fit nicely around my ears, and make these some of the most comfortable headphones I have worn in a long time. They are also very adjustable and lightweight, so they stay comfortable even during longer use. I also like having the controls built directly into the headset. The volume knob and microphone mute switch are both easy to reach and convenient to use. The cord is very flexible as well, which is always a plus because stiff cords tend to get in the way. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the microphone design. I rarely use a mic and usually keep it flipped up and out of the way. On this headset, the microphone stays positioned in your mouth and does not fold up. It is not a deal breaker, but I would have preferred a flip-up design. Other than that, these are comfortable, lightweight, adjustable headphones with clear sound and good noise isolation at what seems to be a fair price. ... show more

  • Sound fidelity is not great, but adequate for voice comms
Color: Carbon
This headset is marketed as being for gaming, which would suggest that it is optimized for voice communication. It's connected with a 1/4" jack, which is still common in desktop and laptop computers but is becoming more rare in phones. The wired connectivity means that it will not experience latency like a Bluetooth headset. (The small amount of delay is generally not a problem for voice comms, but for video it can be disconcerting as the audio does not match the visual cues such as lip movement on screen.) This is noise isolating, not active noise canceling. The thick pads on the ears provide a decent block to outside noise, but would still be difficult to use in an extremely loud environment. They are comfortable on the head; the band is not adjustable, but it's intentionally larger than what would fit most people and has an elastic band between the ear pieces that rests on the top of the head and accommodates most users with a snug fit. I have a pretty giant noggin and it is comfortable to wear for extended periods. The mic is not flexible in position; it can be adjusted a little bit up and down, but it doesn't swing out of the way and the headset is not reversible (the mic will always be on the left). There are analog controls on the left earpiece: a roller to adjust volume up and down, and a button to toggle mute. There's no visual indication (such as a LED) that you're muted, except for the button being slightly less protuberant, and the muted status doesn't get sent to the computer. It's also reasonably easy to bump by accident while adjusting the headset's position on the head. So if no one can hear you, try pressing it again and see if that fixes it. Sound fildelity is... not great. This is not audiophile gear. Playing music through the headset, the sound is missing highs and lows and sounds muffled in the mids. This is especially obvious when playing the same recording side by side with a better set of headphones (Sony WH1000XM3 in this case). Even for voice comms, while speech is understandable, it sounds hollow and doesn't have anywhere close to the same clarity as being face to face with someone. Overall, this is an OK headset for voice comms, and comes from a very reputable brand. However, I think you can do much better in this price range. ... show more

  • Great gaming headset Great gaming headset
Color: Carbon
My son has been using these for gaming on his PS5 console. He says that the sound quality is great, and that the microphone quality is great as well. All his friends can hear him just fine, with clear sound. He says they are comfortable to wear for extended gaming sessions, and that he really likes the way the head band fits on his head. Corsair is a great brand of gaming headset and this is a fine example of their quality and durability. He's very hard on his gear, and he hasn't broken these yet so they pass the durability test. Five stars. ... show more
