This set of tool comes with many individual parts, but don’t worry, they are all packed neatly in a carry box, as shown in my attached photo. All angle clamps are clearly marked with inches and mm (on the different side). So, when it can be used as a right angle ruler. For my testing purpose, I used one set of clamp to secure two pieces of woods (2x4 and 2X9) in a right angle form. I can use pocket hole to have the two pieces connected. The tool was nicely built with good quality material.

I ordered these corner clamps for building custom furniture and display pieces in my custom apparel shop. The clamps themselves are solid aluminum and hold angles perfectly at 90 degrees, which is exactly what you need when making display stands or shelving units. The red anodized finish seems durable and the hardware threads smoothly without binding. Here's the problem - there are zero instructions included. The package has four corner brackets, eight rods with knobs, and eight aluminum stops, but nothing tells you how to set them up or adjust them properly. I had to figure it out through trial and error, which cost me time on a project deadline. Once I worked out the system, they clamp securely and keep corners square while glue sets or while I'm driving fasteners. The measuring marks on the brackets are useful for consistent placement. The clamps handle the thickness of plywood and hardwood we use for shop displays without any issues. The storage case keeps all the pieces organized between jobs. They do what they're supposed to do, but the company needs to include basic setup instructions. For the price, they're a decent value if you're willing to spend some time learning how they work on your own.

The VEXTHYX 4 Pack Corner Clamp Kit. This kit arrives complete with four (4) corner clamps, eight clamping rods with tightening knobs and aluminum stops, and a handy carrying case (always welcome). If your woodworking includes box, drawer, or 90 degree corner structures, such as with cabinets, this set will greatly aid these efforts. Although the kit is labeled a clamp set, what it primarily accomplishes is keeping the corners of a structure at 90 degrees to each other. Additional clamps may be used in conjunction with this kit where desired. The corner brackets are approximately 5 7/16” on the long side and the supplied clamps will accommodate up to approximately 3 1/2” thick material. I have a couple sets like this for use with production box building. There is no sense of give in the corner brackets assuring 90 degree corners every time. If I had one recommendation for this kit it would be to extend the length of the clamp rods on the short side (unthreaded end) to allow the brackets to sit deeper in the box where desired. Recommended for true 90 degree corner assembly!

The media could not be loaded. The corner brackets themselves are machined really nicely, smooth, clear measurement markings, look and feel very good. The hardware to go with them is average or below average quality. The threaded rods are acceptable. The threaded nobs are a weak point, with metal threads inside the plastic nobs. I only tried two of these nobs/handles in the video, and one of them does not thread onto the rods - this is poor QC. Using these compared to other corner clamps is a bit of a chore - they are fiddly, want to move around, the rod wants to fall out of the hole, and it’s all a bit of a slow chore to get it all lined up and fastened down. Other clamps have the rod and stops all in one piece, which are far less fiddly and much easier to use. I did learn from this that my framing square was not actually a 90 degree square, so I think thank you for that?

Nice little set of corner clamps. Most woodworkers use these, and most could use more, or at least, would never turn down an extra couple. There's always that five shelf bookrack that you just don't have enough 90's to get every corner done. Nicely made, aluminum 90 degree corners, with metal hardware. the only plastic is in the tightening nut. knurl nut is metal, while the knob is plastic, so don't leave it in the sun for seasons after season, and you should get a half a lifetime at least out of the plastic. And even if that goes, the nut still works for the rest of your life. Good set, good quality, easy to use a number of ways. Everything fits nicely, it's machined well. Comes in a nice plastic box that holds and presents everything well, but most woodcrafters won't take the tightening rods apart every time to replace them nicely in the box. Still, it's a solid present, you won't go wrong in getting one for your wood working gift list person.

I used these corner clamps to build shadow box molding and really makes things so much simpler. I will cut the molding to size and lay them out on a flat project table. I then use these corner clamps on the inside edge after applying a little wood glue to each corner. Once all of the corner clamps are secure, I will drive a brad nail through each corner and then remove each corner clamp. I will then move on to constructing the next shadow box. Once dry, the fully constructed shadow boxes are super easy to secure to wall. These corner clamps allow for the quick precise construction when perfect corners are required. I find them incredible handy. In addition, depending on your project requirements, the corner clamp can be used on the inside corner or the outside corner. The carrying case is a big plus as well. At this price point, these are a great value.

So far these have been working very well, they are simple clamp over right angle clamps, so it's only a few simple pieces, but it all fits together well and works very easily. I have been using them to throw some stuff together and they've held it all very tightly in place, even metal strips they have no problem actually holding in place. It's nice that it has a carry case also, there's a lot of pieces and the case keeps it all locked together, and I mean each little piece has a perfectly shaped hole, you don't worry about opening up the box and everything be everywhere like some cases are, it's a great kit to have.
