I see reviews stating the corners are not square. Bad lot, damage or user error I don’t know but those I received are perfectly square. There’s a similar red, aluminum set in a case and both work just as well. Pro: • This is one of only 2 sets I found with 5” bolts that will clamp 3” stiles, a common width for upper end kitchen cabinet doors and fronts. 4” is too short. It befuddles me why other vendors do not offer bolts even just a ½” longer to accomodate 3” framing. • Corners are aluminum and pretty though I find the plastic corners also rigid and square, just that the bolts are too short. • Includes smaller 2”x3” corners for 4” min inside dimension for 4 at a time assembly (or 2” for 2 at a time). Con: • No case. If you leave the clamps (knob, bolt & clamp) assembled they don’t fit in the case anyway. • The corners are wider and the hook elbow and clamp are about a ¼” longer/taller. They do a 3” frame just barely while the set in the case can open another ¼” or so. IMHO: • I don’t see an advantage to the extra depth, just takes up more threads. The only plus I see for this set over the one in the case is the smaller corners included. But for a little less money you can add a plastic set to the case set for the small corners and get 8 more clamps. If 8 more clamps were included in this set that could make a difference.

One of the knobs was missing the threaded insert making it useless. I would install my own nut but so far have been unable to find a nut with whatever thread size they used. The product seems otherwise well made and is packed in a sturdy container, and all the corner clamps checked at perfect 90 degrees. Would have given another star but for the missing knob.
