Bought this to serve as a heat insulator, so the bathroom heated tile wouldn't also heat up the litter box and litter waste can. So far, working great. Let me add that it was perfectly packaged with extra layers of cardboard to keep the cork from getting damaged in transit. Cat Lady

    • Great sheet of cork
I ordered the 1/2" sheet. It arrived quickly. It's first quality cork - excellent. Cutting tip: Cutting cork can be tricky. I found that cutting it on my table saw with a fine-tooth blade worked quite well. But one still does have to be careful (as always with such equipment); the cork is soft, grippy, and pliable enough that it tended to want to ride up a bit when cutting on the saw. That was easily solved with a push stick type of arrangement. I'm pretty sure that cutting with a band saw would be even better. (Razor knives work, too - but I had a lot of cuts to make, so it was too tedious and not as reliably accurate in cutting as the power saw.) ... show more

I saw a DIY on Pinterest on how to make a giant cork pinboard. I'm going for 4' x 4'. Everywhere I looked, the cork available was terrible and too thin to stand up to any real pinboard use. Then I found Cleverbrand. My order arrived promtly and the cork thickness is exactly as advertised and my package arrived quickly and in perfect condition. A sheet of dense, smooth cork a foot wide, a yard long, and half an inch thick! Exactly what I needed! Packaged up sensibly and mailed a day early. Very nice quality. I'm using mine to pin earrings to (I have a lot of earrings) with T-pins. What do you need one for?
