These blackout shades really cut out the light! Extremely easy to install. The entire installation took 5 minutes. The easy pull/lift action to raise/lower can be done with one finger, and is totally silent. For the price, I will surely be getting more of these!

Came with mounting hardware and brackets very easy to install the top part of the shade just clips into the brackets. That top part of the shade though is very flimsy feels like it can bend easily. The shade itself looks nice. You pull it down and instead of retracting on its own when you pull down on it you actually push it up. Kind of strange. But it gets the job done. ... show more

This shade seems high quality. The mounting was super easy with the attached hardware. The only slight issue I have had, is that I am using it on a very short window, and so it doesn't like to stay down on its on unless it is pulled fairly far down, so I've been using a small loop from the pull handle to a small peg below the window. However that's to be expected as I'm using it on a window that is barely 18" high, as opposed to the up to 80 some inches this thing was designed for. Otherwise it's been great! ... show more

It does the job perfectly on a west-facing door with full glass, where I get the bright, late-afternoon sun blazing into the house.
