We had such a hard time getting the blind to snap into the hardware the screws popped out and they were pretty secure. We ended up returning and putting the old ones up. Unfortunatey the old metal hardware is not compatible. We did read the reviews, but we are pretty handy and thought it would be okay. If you are screwing into metal or solid wood, you may be able to use the enormous strength you'll need to get these bears up. Be careful, we tore the top vertical piece in half trying to secure the blind with a screw driver. ... show more

These has bent all up on the top an bottom due to the sun light. Was very easy to move up an down at first but now is a pain bc you have to try to straighten up the rows to get them to line up.

I bought these for my house. They look kind of nice , but i ended up missing the cords because it's uncomfortable having to lift the blind without the cord. You have to pull up the blind with your hands.

The blind is NOT 27 inches, its 26.5. I needed exactly 27 inches and so I'm disappointed. I needed to use a bigger drill bit (1/8 inch) than recommended. It was too hard to get the screws in with smaller holes. That doubled the time to install. It takes a little pressure to get the blind to snap in place. However the blind works properly and looks great. ... show more

The blinds are a beautiful addition to my room, look great and do darken the room substantially when closed. However, when they are opened and the slats are horizontal, even a slight gentle breeze will blow some of them to tilt upwards while others tilt down and a few stay in place. Not sure what the actual material is, but my 16-year-old venetian blinds stayed in place with the window open even during storms. An additional issue was installing the blinds in that it is definitely easy ... if you have a power tool ... which I do not. And I ended up having to pay a handy man to install them for me. ... show more

    • Good quality product - installation can be tricky if you don't prepare properly

The blinds are great! The mounting hardware is sturdy as is the product, and the quality is very good. The only reason I'm not giving the product a 5 star rating is the installation effort - specifically the screws. If you are using an inside mount method for this product, and have a home (like mine) that has real wooden window frames (in my case the house is 100 plus years old so the wood is several inches thick) - the included screws will strip out on you almost immediately no matter how deep you drill the pilot holes. Save yourself the time, and spend a little extra money at the hardware store - pick up some brass or zinc wood screws - I used one inch coarse thread the same diameter as the ones provided (take a few to the store with you to compare diameter and length for your scenario). Make sure to drill your pilot holes deep, it will save your wrists if you have to do some tweaking later without your screw gun. I also found that slightly bending the tabs on the mounts allowed me to "snap" the blinds in much more easily - be careful not to bend them too far or the blind won't sit evenly, but no fear, you can "tweak" them a little afterwards. Once you have these key things in mind and mark out your screw holes etc. you can go like he**! Happy Hanging! ... show more

    • Installation was a nightmare!

When I read that it takes 15 minutes to install, I thought "ok, not bad!" ... Boy was I wrong! After I installed the brackets I wanted to attach the head rail as instructed. The top part hooked in correctly, but the bottom part would not "snap" into the bottom of the bracket no matter what I tried! I was pushing so hard to make it snap in that the screws were coming back out and messing up the top window frame and I almost broke my fingers. On top of that, at one point I was pushing so hard that I almost went through the window! ... Finally, after some severe frustration I took the brackets back off and tried to fit them on the head rail to see where the problem is. They would not fit at all. My first thought was to return the blinds and just get my money back, but I wanted to see if I can get them to work. I ended up using pliers on the bottom part of bracket to bend it slightly and after several tries I could finally make the brackets "snap" onto the head rail. So, I screwed the brackets back on the top of my window frame. And even after all that it still wouldn't snap in!!! Finally I positioned my thumb on the front edge of the head rail and pulled the bottom tab of the bracket forward with my index finger, and it finally snapped in! Now I have blisters on my fingers, and instead of "15 minutes" it ended up taking almost 1 hour and a major headache! ... The blinds themselves seem to be ok and easy to operate, but the installation issue will definitely prevent me from buying these again. ... show more
