I went with this sprayer since its cordless and has a DeWalt battery insert for power. My old Wagner corded sprayer gave up the ghost during a paint job for my deck. Yelp, need a replacement fast. My first thought was to go to the local Home Depot or Menard's. But I thought I'd check Amazon first. This sprayer is a HVLP with four different spray head nozzles for different viscosity paints and lacquers. Out of the box set up was quick with easy directions. What I like is the power head removes from the spray nozzle making cleaning the gun after painting easy. I loaded it up with deck paint which is a bit heavier than normal latex indoor paint. I didn't thin it down at all using the large diameter spray nozzle. I went to work and spraying was a breeze until it slowed down and the paint trickled out. I thought I was screwed at that point thinking the paint and nozzle clogged. I cleaned it out and went back to praying but no improvement. I then thought to check the battery life and lo and behold I had a minimum charge to the battery. I went to the garage and swapped it out with another 20amp DeWalt battery and was back in business. I recommend this sprayer it did what I needed it to do. I will use it on spraying stain on some wood working projects coming up. One word of caution. Keep a ready supply of fully charged batteries if you have an extend long paint job ahead of you. it will save you time and frustration if you have to stop in mid stream and wait for a battery to recharge.

This tool works pretty good. I am happy with it. It is imperative that it be kept clean, and it is a little “moody” about setting it to apply the paint in a thickness that is desired but, it does work and I would buy it again. I experienced decent battery life with it too.

I had to come back and re-read the reviews to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. This thing is absolute GARBAGE and barely managed to cover 4 square feet of wall in 30 minutes. I gave up and switched to my roller brush. Maybe the others are better, but avoid the DEWALT battery-operated one. I'm so disgusted by its performance that I'll be returning it immediately (or throwing it away).

I was actually amazed at how well this worked. If you’re using 2amp batteries, make sure you’ve got a lot charged and ready to go. 3 amp or 5 amp, or larger is better with regards to how long you’ve got before draining the battery. It discharges much quicker than I expected but I’ve got more than enough m18 batteries that I never ran out of power. You’ll know if you’re low on charge by the battery button, or the sprayer seems to be working less effectively. If you change the battery, and it still sprays a bit less effectively, you’ll need to pop off the sprayer seems head and clean it off. Other than that, I was thoroughly surprised at how well it worked. I’d definitely recommend this, and save yourself the headache of using a brush or roller.

this battery powered 170 watt sprayer works better than the owners manual says it will. I bought it to paint the foundation of our home, around 400 sq/ft. The latex paint designed for concrete was so thick it would have taken 500 seconds to drain the viscosity cup (supposed to be 100 seconds or less). I decided to give it a try, put the biggest nozzle attachment on and it did the job! Cleanup is easier than I expected.

Replaced an old plug in Wagner sprayer. Nite and day difference! The biggest lesson learned and if you purchase one...use FULLY charged batteries! 5 Ah minimum. We started with a Dewalt 2 Ah and as soon as it got a little drained (didn't take very long), sprayer was spitting paint and barely spraying. At first I thought the paint was too thick, or we had the wrong tip. Thinned paint and changed tip. Same results. Was getting ready to drop kick the sprayer across the yard. But, new 5 Ah battery....game on! We did all the doors, trim, and a cabinet with this, and wish I would have bought this 3 projects before. I painted the house we just finished remodeling with my Graco airless, and then came back later with this cordless to touch up spots and finish the job. Having the flexibility to run around without hoses, cords, and buckets of paint....worth it!!! And for those reading noise reviews....Negative. It makes noise, but not anything as loud as the Wagner, and noise is part of spraying paint.

For the price this sprayer worked excellent. It is not the sprayer for every day use but was perfect for a project or two. It used the paint very effectively and overall I was very pleased. Great value for the money.
