Let me start by saying that the cordless tool I received is a little different from the one pictured. The product listing shows a power switch on top of the unit and a speed adjustment wheel on the side. The unit I received has digital controls, with a membrane push on/off button, a battery power indicator (3 levels like the Dewalt batteries) and a speed display (seems to be a simple 7-segment display). Pressing the button once turns the unit on at speed 1. Pressing the button increases the speed and to maximum and then it cycles back to 1. To turn it off, you long press the power button. This is better in some ways (battery power display and speed display) but worse in other ways - you can't continuously adjust speed and go back to lower speeds without cycling sequentially. Say you're at speed 3 and want to to go to 4. Just press once but if you want to go to speed 2, you have to press something like 6 times and go faster first then slower etc. I think this isn't a great idea. Otherwise the tool works fine. I plugged in a couple of Dewalt batteries and a couple of third party Dewalt compatible batteries and they all worked. You get plenty of hook and loop foam pads and buffing caps as well as gloves and one microfiber cloth. The manual is a joke though - it literally says nothing useful. It would have been nice to know the density or function of each foam pad provided. As it is, one has to guess. You also get a black nylon carry bag with zipper and a couple of small outside pockets. It's barely big enough to fit all the bits that come with the tool but they do fit, if you carefully stack things inside. I took off one star for speed adjustment (and the fact that you don't get the product in the description) and the really bad 'manual'.

Ok to be super honest this comes down to preferences. For me I prefer a corded buffer. I really wanted to ditch the cord but for me I just prefer my corded buffer more. The batter just adds that extra weight that with my arthritic thumbs, I just dont need. For me this buffer otherwise is not bad its not a dewalt but it cost less too. It does feel slightly on the cheaper side to me but it works. So I have really been on the fence about this that's why I gave it 3 stars. If you need a cheaper buffer that us battery operated and have dewalt batteries lying around this will be a decent buy for you.

It took me a little while to get to using this but I was very pleasantly surprised. Let's start with the kit. It's great to have a dedicated bag to store it in. There is a great selection of everything you need to buff and polish. I went thru a few things pretty quickly and will replace them with a little higher quality but it's great to have so much on hand just in case. With a battery attached it is still lightweight and easy to use and the grip is comfortable. Good battery life, lasted a long time. The speed controls work well. I think it is a great value for someone like me who occasionally wants to touch up their car and make it shine. Great deal.
