The purpose is a great idea, I always have cords hanging and I have to use twisty ties which I hate. This product is easy to install and easy to wrap my cord on any appliance. Once I have the end of the cord secure it is very tight. When you go to take the cord off you have to hold the product in place so the sticky part doesn’t come off. I love the idea behind these, however, after cleaning my kitchen-aid well, I put on it. It did t stayed glued on very long before it came off. I had some other double stick tape, used it and now it’s working the way it should. It keeps the cord from being in the bowl when not being used, if you need to move your appliance, the cord doesn’t dangle and drop to the floor. Much nicer with this cord aid and looks nice and neat. I waited 24 hours after applying before winding the cord on. I didn't wind them tight but they fell off within 15 minutes. And they weren't applied to appliances that get hot. I like this product. I'm using it on my mixer and instant pot. The cord on the instant pot it very thick and is difficult to fit into the slot to hold in place after wrapping. It is a very useful tool for those appliances that don't have a way to manage the cord.
