Description

The Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus All-Season 265/60R18XL 114T Tire is an all- season highway sport truck tire for drivers of SUVs and light duty pickup trucks looking for a ‘sporty’ look. The Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus comes with additional rubber in the sidewalls to help protect rims. It is designed with circumferential grooves in the tread for continuous and efficient slush and water evacuation. The lateral siping and grooves in the tread effectively conducts water away from the contact area while combating irregular wear. The alternating tread block geometry provides stability for confident handling and reduces irregular wear for longer tread life and a quieter ride.

  • Great tires!!
I had a previous set of these same tires and they were awesome. When it came time to get some new ones I discovered Cooper had recently discontinued making them so I was happy to find a new set on Amazon and ordered promptly!

  • The road noise is GONE !!!!
Size: 265/60R18XL 114T
UPDATE...8/22/22..I just drove back from Michigan in two hours of torrential downpour. Three lanes, limited visibility, and significant water on the road. These tires are the BEST...great feel and control in the very wet conditions...... I had 13K miles on a new set of all season off road tires on my Jeep Grand Cherokee....the road noise started at about 9K miles....it was the kind of noise that you could not...not hear. No normal conversation, radio HAD to be on..... unbelievably annoying. I bought the Cooper Discoverer tires and sold the noisy tires to my garage mechanic for his sons' vehicle. The Coopers are absolutely a great buy...quiet, great wet road handling, solid feel....did I mention how quiet they are? A great buy...and a satisfied customer. ... show more

  • Driving 30,000 miles a year, I learn things. Take care of them.
Size: 265/60R18XL 114T
This is a bit of a story, so if you're looking for my opinion scroll down to the bottom of my review for the summary I've been a Cooper loyalist more so than any other tire. Take that at face value. I think I may have owned a set of every mfg's tires at least once. I can tell you for days what not to buy, LOL. A lot of what this tire is comes down to taking care of it [them]. This is my fourth set of Coopers. The reason I like them is because they do what good tires are supposed to do: keep you on the road through crappy weather, not vibrate or shimmy, stay in balance, give you reasonable tread wear life, etc. Plus they're not $200 a piece. BUT! They need babying. They handle like softer tires and have the sidewall durability you find with a lot of high-dollar crawler and severe duty tires. My first set was four A/T 3's and went on an Escape. They wore evenly until the 50% mark and then cupped and wore unevenly, increasing in noise and vibration at highway speeds. I suffered through what I thought was a bad call and almost bought some BFGs when I'd had enough and then I learned their personality. I talked Cooper people directly and they told me to rotate them more often. They also mailed me a sizable discount voucher for my next purchase of four. The second, third and fourth set were A/T 4's and the second and third set lasted ~15,000 over treadwear warranty. Here's how: I drive a lot of highway miles on my commute and do a fair bit of long-haul driving for not-work. I changed the oil in my Escape when the EMC told me it was time and that was about 5,000 miles. I rotated the tires in an X pattern every other oil change and became a zealot about checking and maintaining tire pressure. The fourth set went with the vehicle when I sold it with about 50% tread wear and they still looked and rode like new. This set is on a heavier vehicle--I now have a 2015 diesel Grand Cherokee Limited and oil changes are little less frequent at 8,000 miles. So it looks like I'll be rotating them every oil change. As for this tire specifically: They're not loud. They do make more noise than a touring tire but I find that acceptable. One thing of note--I don't see a lot of mention when debating tire value concerning rims. There's a lot of back-and-forth about steel vs. cast alloy in other circles but for the record, both vehicles I've owned that have worn these tires have alloy rims. Word to the wise: have your shop makes sure the rims are true before mounting and balancing the tires. Good shops will do it for the asking. Summary: -Check your rims before mounting the tires -Get religion about maintaining proper pressure -Take your owner's manual, turn to the maintenance section, find the recommended rotation schedule and half it. These tires are: -Handsome, good handling with great sidewalls -Somewhere on the low end of middling for road noise -inexpensive for what you get -a little better than middling for tread wear warranty ... show more

  • Theyre actually awesome
Put on a 04 Denali 2 years ago. Honestly, im more of a Hankook guy. But after two years these tires have been awesome. Very very low wear, summer and winter (snow). No issues with grip. Daily driver plus two road trips. Would buy THIS model of tires again.

  • 4 years 53k miles
Excellent tires. I put these on my 2018 f150 and have so far gotten 53k miles out of them. Starting to get to the end of their life but I couldnt be more satisfied overall. Would highly recommend these tires
