    • Nice Pillow but Not a Cooling Pillow
Greetings to All, I don't often do reviews but I will in this case because I'm sure that you don't want to pay extra money for something and not get what you expected. That was me before purchasing the Eden Adjustable Pillow. On to the good features but read to the end for review... I can say that the product does seem to be made with quality and appears durable. All the seams and zippers look good and work as they should. The material has ample softness and is pleasing to the touch. Coop Home Goods provided more than enough filling inside the pillow and included extra for later if needed. The pillow plumped up well after a little time in the dryer on low as recommended. Lastly for the good, there was a little smell that dissipated shortly, say overnight to give a guesstimate. I have been using a Therapedic Cooling Gel & Memory Foam Pillow for several years that has a solid layer of gel on one side. It does have that cool feel to it and lasts for a while. However, I am a hot sleeper and end up tossing and turning through the night and all the while turning that pillow around to find a cool spot when the section that my head was laying on had warmed up. I could probably contend with that inconvenience but the worst part was waking up every morning with a stiff neck because the memory foam just didn't give enough in the way of support. I have purchased several of those so-called bamboo cooling pillows hoping for some relief all to no avail. They were not adjustable and didn't provide the cooling support that I was seeking. Now, I have a multitude of different new nice looking pillows that aren't being used. Before I bought the Eden Adjustable Pillow, I actually paid quite a bit more by purchasing the Nest Bedding Cool - Adjustable pillow. It seemed like forever to get a shipping status from that company. I emailed them a week later after the initial payment and was provided a tracking number. That tracking number didn't change for some time, so I contacted them again and was given what I felt a song and dance show. Needless to say, I cancelled that order a couple more days later and purchased Coop's Eden Adjustable Pillow. Now onto my real review - Fast-track to Coop's Eden Adjustable Pillow..You can tell that I have been looking for and needing a pillow that will stay cool through the night and provide me with the support and not cause the pain in the neck that I have every day. I may add here that I do sleep on my sides with my arms stretched out for the most part with a body pillow between my legs. I also wanted support and comfort as to not cause my arm to go to sleep. I forgot to mention that before.. Anyway, I was hoping for this pillow to help me obtain that good night sleep that I desperately desire. I started the first night off with this pillow having all the original stuffing and found it to be too bulky or large for my preferences. The next day I took out about 1/3 of the stuffing and gave that a try. I found that amount not to be supportive enough. Just like in the Goldilocks Story: I found that putting back into the pillow 1/2 of the stuffing that I originally took out was just about the right amount of support and comfort that I needed. That was yesterday and today I am giving you my review. I don't need more time to tell you that this pillow does not keep me cool at all. It still gets warm when being used but maybe not as warm as other pillow types. One thing that I purchased at the same time when I bought this pillow was a Pure Silk Pillow Cover. Even using the pillow with the silk cover that stays cool to the touch, it still gets too warm for my preferences.... Now I am at my wits end... Do I return this pillow or just deal with it until I find something new..?? I'm getting up in age at over 65 years so if any of you reading this review can direct me to a pillow that you think can meet my needs then Please let me know....Thanks for reading my life story..     • I've been searching for a pillow like this for a long time
I was involved in an accident 23 years ago that left me with problems in my back, neck, shoulders, etc. I had one cervical spinal fusion that helped for a short time. After that, every surgeon I saw, and I saw some of the best on the East Coast, said there was nothing more that could be done. No matter what I tried for relief nothing helped. Sleep became a chimera. I began to dread bedtime. I bought a high end mattress that helped a good bit but I had an especially hard time finding a comfortable pillow. I had one cervical pillow that was good but it wore out and by that time the maker had changed the design. The new one was no good. Over the years, I have assembled a collection of pillows that could fill the Smithsonian. For the past 2 years or so I've been sleeping on a "D" pillow, the one with a border of varying width to support the neck and a low spot in the center for your head. I never slept really well on it but it was better than the previous pillows I tried. After a while I found myself searching for a comfortable spot along one of the edges, which had become impossible recently. I was waking up all night after short intervals of pseudo-sleep. I woke up one night at around 2:30 am once again. I was so uncomfortable I was unable to remain in bed so I got up and started searching the internet for pillows. I found three that interested me and finally settled on the Coop Home Goods Eden pillow because of the fill, the ability to adjust the amount of fill and the gusseted edge. The fill in this pillow is really fantastic. It's very soft but very supportive. I find it does exactly what I wanted the "D" pillow to do; it supports my neck and head very well (I LOVE the gusseted edge!) yet it's soft and comfortable at the same time. My head sinks into the pillow and it feels just right. The trick for me was to get the amount of fill just right. I experimented removing and refilling the it every night for about a week until I dialed it in just right. Only one week! Like I mentioned above, it usually takes me far longer to get used to a new pillow, if ever! Now, I just tuck the pillow under my neck when back-sleeping and the support is there, so firm yet so soft and so comfortable - I'm able to fall asleep more quickly and sleep for longer periods. I love side-sleeping with this pillow too. I rough it up a bit and bunch it under the side of my neck and head and I'm the most comfortable I've been sleeping on my side in years. I still can't sleep on either side for too long because the arm I'm lying on will go totally numb after about half an hour or so and I have to return to my back. But this pillow allows me enough time on my sides to get off my back for a while and that really helps me sleep longer and I wake up fewer times during the night now too. You have to follow the instructions when you open the pillow. I put mine in a cool drier for 10 minutes as instructed. I had absolutely no problem with odors and the loft plumped up beautifully. Then, for me, the only thing I had to do was get the fill level right. Like I said, it only took me about a week of experimentation. I also opted for the gusseted pillow covers which fit very well and don't change the dynamics of the inner pillow at all, unlike some others I've tried. Bottom line; I've been looking for a pillow like this for years. Nothing is ever going to get me a perfect night's sleep again but I'm getting better sleep for longer periods now. It's only been just a short time since I purchased the pillow but based on how quickly I became accustomed to it and how comfortable it's been so far, I think this Coop Home Goods Eden pillow is the one I've been searching for for these past 23 years.
