I would have given this product a 5 star review with the exception of one issue. When I received the pad I shook it and let it expand. The middle was more fluffy than the rest of the pad. I read so many different reviews on mattress toppers and mattress pads before making this purchase. It's so hard to buy something online without actually feeling it or seeing it in a store. I had been putting this off for forever and my bed had just lost it's comfort. I have a sleep number bed with a pillow top but over the years, like all mattresses, it had lost the softness. As I didn't want to mattress shop right now I thought this would be the best alternative until I'm ready to take that plunge. First, I love that it comes in other colors than white. The box it's compacted into is TINY. I followed all the instructions with fluffing, leaving it lay out and finally putting it in the dryer. My only complaint is that I think it would fluff more if not so compacted in the way it's packaged. It seems like the most plush spots are all around the edge where you don't sleep while the middle doesn't fluff as much. Overall, I would buy it again but I would suggest to the manufacturer to NOT compact it so much for shipping as I feel that it would fluff better once it got to the customer. Maybe too, the smaller sizes fluff easier. I have a California King mattress so it's pretty big. It's been on my bed for about a week and I think I'll take it off in the next day or two and see if I can get it to fluff more in the middle section. Purchased the grey for my adult grandson. He says that it is comfortable, soft, and cozy. This mattress topper has very deep pockets and fits the mattress easily. It comes vacuum sealed so it requires some fluffing before using it. Be very careful opening the box and opening the vacuum seal so you don’t damage the mattress topper. Two people can shake the topper to fluff it or you can put it in your dryer for a couple minutes. The grey color does not appear to be as dark as the advertising picture on Amazon. That definitely wasn’t a problem for him but thought it was worth mentioning. This is the second mattress topper that I have gifted to someone and they both love it! ... show more

It's a comfortable topper, but not as thick as in the pictures. Also, not so cooling. I bought a cooling bamboo mattress cover and put that one top, which helped. If it were easy to return, I would've sent it back, it was vacuum packed, and doesn't fit in the original packaging after it fluffs up. I spoke to Customer Service, and they said I would have to buy a box from UPS. Reading another reviewer here, who said he had to spend $48 on a box, It's better to make sure this will work for you before buying, since it's a waste of money to return. ... show more

I wasn’t sure when I bought this because it seemed too flat however this was a game changer. It isn’t super thick but it is very comfortable. Our backs feel much better in the mornings. I also like that it is more cooling than the foam pads where heat gets trapped.
