I've only had this for a couple of weeks, but I think it's safe to say that I love it. I have gigged it once, and I've taken it to a bluegrass jam. The unit performs flawlessly. Take some time and dial in your sound and it will really sing. I was a bit skeptical but hooked my Yamaha piano to it and it sounded really good- nice and loud with a balanced tone. It is an excellent acoustic guitar amplifier. I have added a set of wireless rechargeable mics and once again, dial in the tone and it reproduces your vocal very well. The price is amazing for the utility. I think it can come close enough to the far more expensive comparables. The Bluetooth function works flawlessly, it's a great for karaoke or backing tracks for your solo gig. LOVE the battery power and not having to worry with outlets and cords. I plan to add a wireless guitar set up along with a set of in ear monitors. Very pleased, and can't wait to get my whole set-up going! This Cool Music unit is a game changer for me. UPDATED: i’ve now had it for about four months or so. I have recorded with it in my home studio. I used it at my daughter‘s wedding last week for PA and playing music during the reception. It is an absolute jewel. ONE YEAR UPDATE: It's been a year this month and I love this amp/PA more every day. I have gigged it out many times, and it performs flawlessly. My first time out and I must say the new amp performed above expectations. A professional sound in a small package. I had reverb and chorus on my guitar and vocals with separate channels. More than enough volume for buskin and the battery started out at 3 lights on the indicator and after 4 hrs it was only down to 2. Excellent! I had the bp60 but went to the 80 bc it had more power and more features but kept of the smaller footprint. Perfect for buskin and small venues

I bought this some time ago, but wasn't able to use it until recently at an outdoor venue where I used all battery-powered equipment, and both the audience and the venue staff complimented the sound. I actually had to turn down the volume as this thing will really put out some sound. If you busk or play away from power outlets, this little powerhouse will not let you down. It has a crisp, clean tone - perhaps not as full-bodied as my regular equipment, but this is a small, self-contained unit in a small cabinet - get real - it does what it is designed to do. I was able to run foot pedals and in-ear monitors. It has plenty of inputs for about any need. I would recommend this unit for anyone playing without power outlets available.

This is a good buy. It’s not a fishman but quality enough. Well built and the sound is decent. Not really 80 watts but more like 40 to 50 watts in loudness. Still more than enough for small gigs. The reverb and blue tooth are nice but the chorus is kind of lame when Compared to a regular chorus pedal or other amps. Still for the price it is hard to beat. Well made.

I was looking for a battery powered acoustic instrument amp like the 50 Watt Roland Cube and happened on the Cool Music BP80 100 Watt battery powered acoustic guitar amp. After reading all the positive reviews and comparing prices, I ordered one. So far after a week of checking out the Cool Music Amp, it seems like a good buy. Not having a lot of experience with battery amps, I can only compare it to my Carvin AG200 (non battery) acoustic amp which sounded great until it started making weird noises. Sound and function wise, the Cool Music amp is actually a fair replacement for the Carvin, though the Carvin does offer more in terms of plug ins, effects, and power. It also costs twice as much and had sound problems that the dealer was not able to repair. The Carvin tips the scale at 29 pounds with the Cool Music amp at 22 pounds and the 500 clam 50 Watt Roland Cube at 16 pounds. So, the Cool Music rig is a little heavier than expected, but it offers 5-10 hours of battery powered play time according to the specs, I have used it about 3 hours at a time while the power reserve lights stayed at 2 bars out of 3. As for the sound, it provides a clear representation of the guitar, though seems heavy on the bass end, especially playing a nylon string classical guitar. You can adjust the EQ on the amp however to compensate. What do you expect for an 8 inch woofer I guess. Notice that there is also a bass version of this amp with an 8" woofer. My mandolin sounds great through the Cool Music amp. As for volume, this little amp is as others have said a real sleeper. It is way louder than you might expect. As for the build quality, it is surprisingly excellent. The fit and finish is great, the knobs all like machined aluminum. The amp feels tight like and well balanced. The jacks all work well and labels are clear. One kinda odd thing is that the amp laying on its long side has the labels upside down when looking down at the knobs as you will need to do. Its pretty easy to figure out, but odd. The amp is easy to haul around, and its size and lack of power cord makes the Cool Music amp a shoe in places where bigger amps cause extra hauling and set up issues. I haven't had time to check out all the functions that the Cool Music BP80 offers, and don't know how the amp is gonna last over time, but after a week it gets my thumbs up.

I used this amp at a outdoor Ren Faire kind of thing for about 2 hours every day for a week. (and charged it each night) It worked great every time. Barely went below 75% on the battery after the 2 hours. (Could probably do 4 - 6 hours given I don't have it cranked up). I play an "early world" instrument, and it sounds pretty good. The Roland AC33 is definitely better sounding for acoustic instruments. But this is amp is absolutely worth the price. Only con I would say is the weight. This thing is HEAVY and I had to bring it up and down a hill each day. Bonus... the extra inputs made it easy to make friends with other musicians when I told them they didn't have to bring theirs :)

I've been using this model amp at the music school where I teach, and decided I wanted fir another location where I teach. It's incredibly useful for playing backing tracks from my phone while my students practice their their mic technique while singing. The sound is great; you can make frequency adjustments or add reverb to the sound from two separate forms of input (a mic plus an electronic/electric instrument, for example), and it's easy to use. The amp arrived on time and in great condition. I've never had the opportunity to check out the other features of the amp before - always in a rush to set up and teach! So it was pretty exciting to discover the ability to play music from a flash drive, or record whatever is being played through the amp to the flash drive. I feel like this is an great value. I was grateful to find one used on Amazon!

This little speaker is great. It is LOUD and has little distortion. It's not stadium loud, but a backyard or a large size room it is perfect. Works great with my acoustic guitar and microphone. I use it a lot on its Bluetooth setting at home and at parties. I'm not sure how long the battery lasts because I have never ran it all the way down. I do know it lasts three hours at high volume because that was the length of the party. It's also not very heavy and I recommend getting a stand to elevate it. Definitely worth the money. I will buy one again if something happens to this one.
