The mattress was easy to set up and fully functional in about 8 hours. Caution though, it is very heavy when it arrives in the box. There was no noticeable odor when I took the plastic off. The mattress is a good firmness and was still comfortable for a 250 lb man to lay on. The mattress is easy to move once it is laid out and fully inflated. I do think that the memory foam top layer is a little thin and the springs can be felt through it when pressing down with your hand. I have a thin gel mattress topper that I will probably use on top of this just for added comfort. But you can't beat the price of this mattress! I think it would be good for a child to use for many years but I'm not sure it would hold up that long for a grown man. I'm using it in my guest bedroom where it will get light use and it is just perfect for that purpose.

I got this for an RV, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It's a thick mattress with a cool surface that is firm without being too hard. While it's perfect for a child's bed, it actually holds up well to a full grown adult male roughing it on a twin bed for a road trip. This is a hybrid bed, so there are coils, but you don't really feel them -- though for a heavier person, I'd add a topper just for some extra cushioning. It's heavier than I expected (which was great on the bed, but not so great when the heavy box arrived and I had to carry it to the RV!), and you have to give it at least 48 hours to fully decompress. At first glance, I was a little uncertain, but once it fully expanded, it was nice and thick. The price is ridiculously good!

COOLMI Twin Mattress, 12 Inch Hybrid Memory Foam Mattress in a Box This mattress is a good compromise for those who like the firmer base that you get from pocket springs but allows for the comfort that foam and toppers give on pressure points. The 12 inches allows this mattress to fit on my pop-up trundle that stores away under my captain's bed in my hybrid guest room/bonus room. Because it has springs it makes it stable on the wire platform, too. Comfortable enough for any guest, especially teens and children. Like any bed in a box, you will want to open it up and allow a day for it to fully expand.

It is hard to believe they managed to roll this up and stick it in a narrow box for shipment because once it unfurled – it became a regular coiled mattress! This mattress in particular is very firm and sturdy but comfortable – even for a side sleeper like myself. I’ve been sleeping on it for two weeks and find a very supportive.

Probably the best thing about this mattress is the combination of the thickness of the mattress and the low price being asked. This is a hybrid mattress so uses both coils and foam in the construction. Usually mattresses at this price are much, much thinner which can be a problem for heavier bodies. This one offers a nice thickness of 12" without asking for more money. Great mattress that looks well made and is an amazing value!

This twin mattress is very very comfortable. It arrived in good condition with no damage to the box. After unpacking it we waited about 2 days before using it and that seemed like more than enough time for it to re inflate. The material used on the outside is very soft and comfortable and this mattress gives great back support.
