First thing you should know is this sucker is HEAVY! It's heavier and floppier than a weighted blanket. It's like moving a dead body in the middle of the night kinda heavy (Eh....ok...I'm guessing here, really, I have zero actual experience moving corpses nor do I have any plans to. Ew. I promise, this is just a guess, but it is super heavy and impossible to move half awake! Like trying to move your kid after they fall asleep in the car kinda heavy). So do not plan (like I dumbly did) to move it around when you need it. I already had the "pillow" so I thought I could move this. NO way irl. Next thing is it does get hot after a while because it sucks the heat out of you. So if you heat up it's better to have room so YOU can move since this is a heavy slab of flappy corpse (again, guessing, but you get the idea). But suck the heat out of you? Yes indeed. And it's gloriously cold. The other thing is I would not leave it in the bed in the morning. It feels almost damp and I would worry about mold even with my tempurpedic mattress. SO air it all out, but that said it is 100% worth it if you have night sweats or sudden bursts of heat from medicine, medical stuff, or menopause, or are blessed like me and have all the above. So no one else has to suffer with my turning the air to arctic because I suddenly turn into lava or a furnace-like a pizza oven in Florida in August. I slept so well with this! And the heat build up for my aches and stuff is not a bother. It actually felt nice because I go from super hot to freezing. I hope it lasts and will update after a time. Hope that helps!

Here's an honest review. Does it STAY cool? No. It ladt about 5- 10 minutes. I move my head to one side and when it's not cool anymore slide to other end. Once it's hot from your body heat I put it aside and in 10 mi uses or so it's cool again. I also bought the full body one. Best described as cool sheets you move to a cool spot,,when it's not cool, move. They are both GREAT PRODUCTS IF YOURE REASONABLE IN KNOWING WHAT IT DOES. YES, it's cold or " cool" - I can actually sleep through horrible hot flashes I get from my cancer medications. Don't listen to bad reviews, nothing is going to STAY COLD forever. This is great, buy 2, have cold sleep all the time. Alternate them! GREAT PRODUCT

I was skeptical but it actually works. Whether just and arm, leg or most of you body this thing actually is cooling. I'm not sure how long it lasts with consistent use as I fell asleep. As it states 3 hours is how long it is supposed to last. Doesn't need refrigeration or freezer, it just is cooling, thermal transfer from you to it making you cooler. Give it a rest and it works again. Good buy if you sleep hot or spend a lot of time outside in hot weather. This would be good for use in a vehicle, but I doubt you should leave it in the vehicle, only when you use it, or if you have van it might be okay.

The pad is a good size. It looks well made. It feels cool when you first get on it. However, it definitely does NOT last 3hrs. It’s probably more like 20min. It also seems to retain the heat it takes off you. I am returning the product due to the amount paid and not enough cooling time.

I’ve had one of these for years and keep it within reach at bedtime. This one I bought for a friend suffering with night sweats. Although this size is meant for a pillow I use it under my upper back when I feel the heat turning up cause it’s easier to handle than the full size model. It does provide temporary instant cooling but then you need to remove it so it maintains its coolness or else your body heat will warm it up making it useless for when the next flash hits. It’s not perfect but along with A/C, ceiling fan, wicking bed clothes and bedding it helps.

Husband gets burning nerve pain on backs of legs when sitting. This helps immediately to cool and relieve the pain. He also uses it to cool back pain in bed. Just wish it lasted longer (he gets about 20-25 mins relief) but it does get cool again after a short time off of it. It’s not ice, so we don’t expect it to last as long as ice. The pad is big enough to sit on half and have other half draped over arm of chair. Then he rotates it when it heats up to use cool side. Seems well made and is very heavy. Hope it lasts. We have already purchased pillow size pads to use and rotate out for use in the car.

I would love to return this item but I see I am 5 days too late. I have tried to use it for my hot flashes at night but after a couple of hours the item seems to hold my heat and I wake up hotter than before. The pad is too hard and crunchy for use with a pillow but putting it under the fitted sheet it does cool the body off for a little bit of time. Definitely does not last 3 hours but does cool a person off when first getting into bed.
