I thought it was a cool feature that my new motherboard had an rgb header with 5 pins instead of 4 as this would give me more options. As it turns out - seems like everything uses 4 pins, and the plastic housing on the plugs was too wide. It hit the 5th pin and I couldn't plug in. This splitter fixed that problem. I bought it because it claims to be compatible with both 5 pin headers and 4 pin headers. And it is! The size difference of the plastic housing is very significant. I purchased this to link my GPU's RGB to my motherboard, and add a couple RGB fans. RGB and fan wiring is always my least favorite part of any build, and this splitter is no exception to my hatred for these connectors. The cable came with a few extra male adapters, and it works as advertised.

Bought this to hook up the two 200mm RGB fans on the front intake of a Cooler Master H500 and the RGB fan I have for my CPU cooler to a single RGB header. Splitter plays nice with Cooler Master end connections but just be aware that different manufacturers for fans may have a different connection style so don't expect a universal splitter with this. ... show more

I used this to extend the rgb cable of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 cpu cooler after no other cheap cable would work. This one however was very simple to plug in and was high quality.

While nearly every company makes these Coolermaster includes a very unique lock for the connections, that no one else does. That alone is enough for me to be happy about not having to chase down a loose argb connector later on.
