So I got this to replace the OEM that was busted. It worked well for a while and Iwas happy with it. I moved to Germany and shipped my car and there I was driving through Austria and the resovior busted and left me on the side of the road on a Sunday too when nothing is opened so I couldn't even get to a autoshop to get a replacement. Bottom line: If you are not driving outside of city limits then this could work. If you plan to drive distance then be careful because I might explode and leave you on the side of the road.

Yay great it holds fluid….but the sensor doesn’t work so now I’m out the cost of a new reservoir and another jug of coolant….that’s why you should stick with fcp euro a trusted brand

First received a bolt cutter instead of the expansion tank, so delivery was twice as long as expected. This unit looks and feels (weight wise) as the oem part for 66% less. Install time about 20 minutes using original hoses.

Installed this on my 08 535i. It fit like it should and came with cap and sensor as described. I’ve had zero issues with it the last few thousand miles now. Sensor works like it should, no leaks, and all the fittings were in the correct places and molded well. FYI, it does not come with any fittings or plugs, so don’t toss the caps, and your coolant hoses are probably ready to fall apart at all the plastic fittings if you haven’t done them, so be ready for that.
