Why did you pick this product vs others?: The unit seems to work well, however, the pictures and description are more than misleading they are flat out lies. The ice will not go to the top of the machine as the pics show it cuts off at the bottom of the opening so it only holds maybe 10lbs of ice. Had I not been lied to I would have went with a bigger unit.

The machine arrived very well-packed and damage-free. I waited the full 24 hours before starting, as the instructions recommend, and setup was simple — connect the water line, plug it in, and it began cycling smoothly. The ice quality is excellent: clear, solid cubes that release cleanly from the plate. Build quality and insulation seem solid, and the self-cleaning function works as described. However, if you’re expecting 200 lbs per day, the math tells a different story. The grid is 5×9 (45 cubes), each cycle takes about 17–18 minutes, and a full panel weighs around 13 oz (0.83 lb). That equals about 68–75 lbs of ice per day, not 200. Even under ideal conditions, you might reach 100–120 lbs/day, but nowhere near the advertised rating. Still, for the price, it makes beautiful ice and holds temperature well — just know that the published numbers are based on lab conditions, not a typical garage or kitchen setup. Pros: Great ice quality Easy to install Arrived well-packed Clear instructions (including the 24-hour wait) Decent bin insulation Cons: Real output is about half of stated capacity Timer-based system, not a true ice-thickness sensor Bottom line: If you want a dependable, quiet machine that produces 70–100 lbs/day of clear, solid cubes, this is a solid buy — just don’t expect the full 200 lbs/day in real-world use.

False advertising on this unit. Was told it would hold 50lbs of ice and make 200lbs/24hr. Not the case at all. Holds maybe 10-15 lbs. And makes about 30 lbs/24hr. Didn't find this out till we finished our building and installed it. DO NOT BUY! Especially if you're looking for what the description says.

Although this ice maker works fine right out of the box, the instruction manual is totally inadequate. It is sorely lacking on how cleaning should be performed and things like how to shut down and drain when not used continuously. The choice of what wording is used in the manual makes me think that it was translated from another language (probably Chinese) by someone not proficient in American English. I have looked for a youtube on instructions, care, & maintenance but find nothing. The manual even listed the current required in kilowatt hours not watts or amps. I hope that this shortcoming will be addressed.
