This unit will only hold 15lbs. of ice when it is completely full not the 50 in the advertisement. I weighed several batches and it took about 3 hrs to fill the unit. It will make around 100lbs. of ice in 24 hrs. Sent back.

This ice maker is well-built and does produce a solid amount of ice, but the listing is misleading. It absolutely does not hold 50 lbs of ice—more like 15 lbs, maybe 20 if you’re lucky. That’s a big issue if you’re planning for event service or high-demand use. It still functions and makes ice consistently, but the storage capacity is way oversold. If they updated the specs to reflect the real numbers, this would be an easy 4 or 5 star unit. As it stands, I can’t recommend it for anyone who actually needs a full 50-lb bin.

This seems to be working well. The only complaint I have is i doubt it’s a 50lb storage capacity. Looks to be about 25-30 but I just fill some bags so we have enough ice for my daughters softball tournaments.

The media could not be loaded. Love that it was very easy to put together and easy to install. This is great to have when we are loading the boat to go out, because we don’t have to stop for ice. I really hate having to stop and get ice and then load the coolers. Now I can load the coolers and ice them down before we leave the house! It makes the ice super-fast. I love that you can change the ice cube sizes. I love the one button cleaning feature makes life easier. Love the perfect clear cubes it makes, so drinks don’t seem cloudy. It sits perfect out on our covered patio and will be perfect for our soon to come pool parties. Love how much ice it can hold. Functions just as described. Shuts off automatically when full. Great price.
