It's a good dog bed but I think the pic is misleading or they sent a medium. Our 80 lb Old English bulldogge takes up most if not all of it. It's not really that x large. Neither is it as thick. I'm not trying to be funny. The pic is of Sookie, the big bulldog and Tubs the frenchie.

I have a crate pad for my dog, but wanted something softer and thicker. Gracie wanted to chew on it as soon as I got it out of the vacuum sealed packaging. I put it on the floor, and she immediately laid down on it. I put it in her crate, on top of the other pad, so it is the softest and thickest possible. She went in willingly, and turned around about 10 times, then settled down. She absolutely loves it. I never heard a peep out of her all night.

I was alarmed at how small the packaging was but it expanded once opened. I will say I would have liked it to be a little bigger for an XL but I think it will work. For reference our girl is about 100 lbs. So far she has only laid on it a few times but we will update our review if she doesn’t take to it. Appears to be well made though and very soft.

My dog loves the bed, sometimes he bites and scratches it and it holds up to all the abuse that he gives it. We would definitely by it again. It's a nice looking bed.

Update: Bought a 4th one and this isn't the same. They left lots of the filling out. Not as nice as before. Don't bother. When we got our puppy we didn't want to overspend on a bed because as everyone knows puppies tend to chew everything. Wanting our new pup to have a comfortable welcoming bed, we opted for this one. We got the "snake" (shudder) print one because it was fluffy. This bed is sturdy, cushy, and comfortable. Our dog did chew here and there but I was able to mend it. The fluffy outside completely covers any mending I did. Eventually we have been able to get her to stop chewing. We bought 3 of these and have them in different parts of the house. One of them is a perfect fit for out Petsmate carrier that she crates in at home. Washing was not problem and it dried outside in the sun quickly. In the instance that a bed gets ruined or destroyed, I am not out so much money with this great price. That hasn't happened.
