July 2026 update below: Original review: Cyzmic CS versus Cyronara 9.7: active ingredient is same in both: lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.7%. The difference is in delivery. Cyzmic is micro encapsulated which holds up better to outdoor weather at the cost of delayed knockdown. Both are great all purpose contact insecticides I've used for over ten years without complaint. Do not use as a bait, that's not it's purpose. Also don't use if you have a massive infestation as its not meant for immediate knockdown. I would consider this insecticide as more of a preventative. However, that doesn't mean it cannot tackle an active issue, it will just take longer to see results. In these cases, best used along side a granular or gel based bait. In exterme infestations, you'll need to add an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) to disrupt the insect's lifecycle. Cyzmic is a good all-in-one solution if your needs are reasonable. Spray it indoors under sinks around faucets, behind appliances and in corners of rooms at floor level. Outdoors you can spray around lower foot of house perimeter, door and window seals and roof soffitts. I do this every three months and see very little if any insect issues. Works well for spraying deck posts and wood beams for carpenter bee damage prevention. In an ideal world I would use Cyonara indoors and Cyzmic outdoors as Cyonara will give you quicker results, but Cyzmic is better if you had to choose just one. In other words, Cyzmic works better indoors than Cyonara outdoors. July 2026 update: To my pleasant surprise, Cyzmic CS appears to be eradicating a massive carpenter ant infestion found in a friend's attic recently. Having thought the wall scratching noises were bats (as I seen before), using an inspection camera down the attic's soffit area, a melon sized nest of carpenter ants and eggs was found in the back corner. Without having any alternatives on hand, a mix of Cyzmic in a pump sprayer was sent down that area, all along the attic wall and again outside along the soffit and surrounding walls. Within minutes, it was like a horror movie with literally thousands of carpenter ants crawling down the outside walls of the house or falling from the second story onto the ground. The grass and immediate perimeter of the house was covered with very large black ants, some trying to carry off eggs. Most appeared to be dying having seizure type movements not making it far before lying still. To be sure, we sprayed the ground back and forth with the remaining pump sprayer contents. I would estimate well over a couple thousand ants. It was quite the sight and I'm surprised the Cyzmic had such an effect, as it's usually a more slow, but sustained knockdown. It's one thing to disturb a nest and watch them retreat, but this was knocking them dead within minutes. Another victory for this great pesticide.

Works just about instantly on any kind of insect or arachnid. All they have to do is touch it and they are trough. This junk is some kind of nerve toxin for invertebrates. No odor. Water based so it dries quickly. Lasts a good while when used indoors. Not sure how safe it is with long term exposure. It kinda scares me being so deadly to bugs. The only thing that I've not seen it work on is roaches, which doesn't surprise me.

Best stuff!! I had pest control for a few years and they could never get rid of the scorpions here in north Texas. Saw a review that someone used this and they never saw one again. Guess what?! It works!! We don’t see scorpions and any other bugs!! This stuff is so strong that wearing a mask is highly advised! I didn’t the first time and instantly regretted it. My lungs hurt for two days! It works for about 3 months and then I reapply.

I live in suburban north texas, which has constant bug issues from the usual suspects - with a pump sprayer, I was able to apply this product to the exterior of my home, the foundation, walls, garage spaces, awnings/gutter lining areas, exterior door frame and window frame trim, and points of entry around my home. I would recommend at a minimum, booties and chemistry goggles/safety splash goggles, a properly fitting respirator mask, and shoe and head-protecting kevlar coveralls when working with this product as it is a concentrated solution, and can cause harm to humans and animals/livestock / vertebrate life forms. It's easy to measure and calculate the amount and potency needed, and I did not notice any negative effect on plant life or shrubbery. I purchased this to treat for ants, silverfish, waterbugs (large cockroaches), mite prevention, beetles, and found it works extremely well, and relatively fast. Be sure to follow the instructions on the material, and keep it stored separately and safely away from other chemicals, and in a separate sealed and clearly labelled bag. I would recommend a pre-measured / ready to apply solution like a spray or something similar for interior applications in most situations, instead of this product, as it is a strong pesticide, and I wouldn't prefer to spray this inside my home. I usually apply this product once every 3-4 months. It's made a dramatic difference in pest control for my house and garage, and as long as you are able to properly wear protective equipment and use caution, this is a potent but affordable product that works well. Of course, be sure to exercise caution while applying this, and minimize any runoff to reduce pollution or contamination of wastewater and groundwater.
