    • Effective and safe pest control for the home
Been using this product for several years to spray the exterior and interiors of my home. Living in Florida for 45 years I'm well acquainted with the variety of creepy crawlies that can be encountered. For many years I paid a lot for professional service but didn't like the odor, residue, change of personnel, having strangers in my house. One year this area had an explosion of millipedes...my research to find a solution to get rid of them led me to this product. Been using it ever since...it has almost no odor, it's extremely effective, and long lasting. Over the last 2 years had to buy 3 new kitchen appliances...I was concerned what would be found when the old ones were pulled out. Only 1 long dead little beetle. On very rare occasion if I do find a palmetto bug inside the house (especially after bad storm, or a lot of people coming in and out of house leaving doors open) the bugs are always on their back either dead or nearly there.     • Great for exterior pest control, easily applied, good durability
I live in suburban north texas, which has constant bug issues from the usual suspects - with a pump sprayer, I was able to apply this product to the exterior of my home, the foundation, walls, garage spaces, awnings/gutter lining areas, exterior door frame and window frame trim, and points of entry around my home. I would recommend at a minimum, booties and chemistry goggles/safety splash goggles, a properly fitting respirator mask, and shoe and head-protecting kevlar coveralls when working with this product as it is a concentrated solution, and can cause harm to humans and animals/livestock / vertebrate life forms. It's easy to measure and calculate the amount and potency needed, and I did not notice any negative effect on plant life or shrubbery. I purchased this to treat for ants, silverfish, waterbugs (large cockroaches), mite prevention, beetles, and found it works extremely well, and relatively fast. Be sure to follow the instructions on the material, and keep it stored separately and safely away from other chemicals, and in a separate sealed and clearly labelled bag. I would recommend a pre-measured / ready to apply solution like a spray or something similar for interior applications in most situations, instead of this product, as it is a strong pesticide, and I wouldn't prefer to spray this inside my home. I usually apply this product once every 3-4 months. It's made a dramatic difference in pest control for my house and garage, and as long as you are able to properly wear protective equipment and use caution, this is a potent but affordable product that works well. Best insecticide out there. It works on everything. No visible residue when dry. Keeps carpenter bees away. I use it on an outdoor tongue and groove patio ceiling to prevent insect damage. Great to spray around door and windows.

    • The BEST Solution For Controlling Mosquitoes
The area surrounding my house is lined with very large trees which provide lots of all-day shade. It’s great in some ways, but combined with areas of thick vegetation and slow rainfall drainage it becomes the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. I’ve spent a fortune doing environmental mitigation projects—better drainage systems, elimination of unnecessary thick vegetation, trimming limbs to allow more sun, etc… and still the mosquitoes make enjoying the yard impossible. Through sheer trial and error I’ve found that Lambda-Cyhalothrin (the active ingredient in Cyzmic CS) is the most effective insecticide for controlling mosquito populations in such difficult areas. Most of the “hook to garden hose” products from home improvement garden centers contain Lambda-Cyhalothrin in varying concentrations. While these products can be effective, they are cumbersome, messy and VERY EXPENSIVE over the length of prime mosquito season. The thing I had to learn is that there is no “once and done” solution. Instead you must gain control of the population initially and then maintain it through regular applications. This means you need a large supply of Lambda-Cyhalothrin and a method of application that allows you to vary the concentration (i.e., Cyzmic CS and a pump sprayer). I began with a solution of 1/2oz Cyzmic CS per gallon of water in a sprayer and thoroughly treated the entire area including flower beds, bushes, grass and hard surfaces—paying close attention to get inside any thick vegetation. I always spray after dark to avoid additional stress on flowering plants. I repeated this process every few days until I could see that the mosquitoes were under control. Because any significant rainfall will wash away the residual product, further applications must be made to maintain control. I use a solution of approximately 1/3oz per gallon to apply after every storm. I always keep a 2 gallon sprayer ready to go. This strategy is the only approach that has successfully worked for me and I wish I had stumbled upon it earlier. It allows me to keep the mosquitoes under control without damaging the flowering plants and other vegetation I don’t want to sacrifice in the process. Cyzmic CS is the most cost effective form of Lambda-Cyhalothrin that I’ve found and you get many treatments from even a small bottle. For the price of a few weak treatments with the “attach to hose” products from a garden center, you can purchase Cyzmic CS and a pump sprayer that will give you an entire season of control. I hope my experience helps another homeowner avoid the expensive trial and error process it took me to find a real solution! ... show more
