I've been using the Continental GP4S tire for many years, and it's my favorite for year-round bike commuting in all weather in the Pacific Northwest. While not as puncture resistant as something like the Gatorskin, the GP4S still has good resistance to punctures and crucially (for me) it's MUCH nicer to ride than the Gatorskin. They feel fast and stable, with noticeably better grip and confidence on wet roads compared to standard summer tires. I ride about 3K miles a year on paved country road in MN where roads are often cracked and chip sealed. I used to get 1 or 2 flats every year using other top rated endurance tires. I've been using these for 5 years and NEVER had a flat. The side walls threads start to shed after about 5k miles and I that is when I replace them. ... show more

I used these as my last set and had very good experience with them. They have all the durability of Gatorskins built in as well as better overall traction during the 4 seasons, which really doesn't matter here other then rain which I get caught up in sometimes. I also went to 25's from 22's and they seem a little better to ride on overall. I like these and ordered some for my fiancé's bike to replace old Gatorskins which were DONE. Also spoke with the Continental rep about these and he had nothing but good things to say about them.
