This thing is beefy! It would probably be easier for thieves to go for the hinges or through the container itself. It’s thick steel and has some weight to it, it’s definitely over10lbs. Even though it’s heavy, when it’s unlocked it expands out very smoothly. The lock is great. You can set the combination or use an included key, with a keyhole that is undeniable the pice where the combination is. We put it on a shed, that has double doors on it. Lawnmowers and small equipment is easy pickings for thieves. So it works on doors with a small space in between, but it expands out to over a foot, if your handles are further apart. ... show more
