I have never written a poor review for an Amazon product, but I feel an obligation to write this one. No one can sit on this sofa comfortably. It is so very hard! I would never go through the hassle of returning it if there was any way, even with adding pillows, that I could make it comfortable for my family, but truly it is rigid and hard as a rock! It is very pretty but nothing you can curl up on and relax on at all. (To the manufacturer...just test your product before you sell it. Overall, the sofa fits a need on a budget. It looks beautiful, I recieved a lot of compliments at our housewarming. The backrest is easily displaced, it's a little too firm, and a smidge too short. I don't think the leather material will last, but time will tell. I'd recommend them for someone on a budget and/or needing a quick fix. All the pieces come packed inside the seat of the couch. They are each wrapped in a material bag, however, there are sharp ends on the backrest bracket that made a puncture on two of the other pieces. They were in somewhat inconspicuous spots so I put a dab of white caulk in them and they're not easily found anymore. On topic of the backrest, it merely slides in place. It is not particularly tight and there is no mechanism to secure it, so if you walk by and pull on it, you can pull it right off. There are also small gaps in the corners due to the shape of the backrest not being a true match to the seat. Finally, the feet are a little short and make the couch sit low. Not terribly low, but noticeably more than my main couch. The legs it came with measure 3.5"ish and I replaced them with 6" which was the right move for me. I was able to buy alternative legs on Amazon fairly cheap and they came quickly and it also let me customize the aesthetic some which I enjoyed. (The bottom on the sofa has a full frame and you simply screw the legs into the outer edges of the bottom) My family complains that it is too firm and is not a "cozy" couch. I do agree but not terribly bothered by it as it was more intended to sit and chat or play a game. I also purchased the single seater couch version of this sofa and have the same issues with that one. ... show more

So, where do I begin? This item was scheduled for delivery on Sept 5, but never came that day and no one contacted me to let me know it was going to be late... had to take another day off work to wait for scheduled delivery... but it finally showed up today and I was thrilled!! Unboxed the couch and - there is no back. The box contains a bench with a space that looks like a back should go. Confused, I check the box and look for instructions or something... then I just happened to look underneath the bench and there is a zipper underneath where there is usually just lining... I also see there’s a huge rip in the lining but I’m thinking “No big deal - it’s underneath and no one sees it” so I unzip the zipper to find bundled up pieces stuffed inside underneath the seat... I find 2 pieces that kinda look like arms and some metal bits that are apparently the feet. Then there is one big piece that - incredibly - must be the back piece of the couch. ((Yes - all the parts were stored inside the couch frame!!)) this is also where I find the instruction sheet that shows assembly in a few quick easy steps.. the packing wrap looks suspiciously like these items were wrapped and rewrapped - like this is not a ‘new’ item - but previously unboxed and reboxed. The external cardboard wasn’t torn. The couch back piece is torn (presumably whatever tore the bottom liner must have gotten it also) and at this point, I am thinking I just don’t care anymore - I can patch it.. I just want this thing in place so bad already!! So I try to assemble the parts, beginning with the weird arm pieces. Epic failure ensues and I have still not figured out how one open metal track piece is supposed to connect with another open metal track piece ((or even how to get the pieces close enough to attempt to make them fit together))... the feet are flimsy little metal things that you screw in with 4 wood screws to the flat bottom of the frame... so I’m getting pretty frustrated at having paid this much money for this piece of crap... then - just as I was sure it couldn’t get any more frustrating, I sat down to gather my thoughts and cool off so maybe I wouldn’t feel like writing a scathing product review and.... i swear, this is like sitting on an elementary school bus bench seat. It feels like there is no padding at all. The backrest feels like solid wood or something. So - here I sit in a pile of cardboard and packing wrap with a partially built couch with a big tear in the backrest cushion, 2 arm flaps I don’t think I’ll ever be able to attach and a pile of flimsy feet I might as well not bother with because There’s no way they are going to be sturdy. I’m trying not to be upset. And niw I see the delivery guys apparently scraped my (newly painted) walls bringing it in, also. I hadn’t even noticed and I actually gave them a good survey response before I started trying to unbox this thing. :( Advice to you: Just don’t do it. Go to the local furniture place and find a couch you like... see how comfortable it is... see how well it’s made (or not) before dumping $600 bucks into what basically amounts to a pile of garbage. ... show more

There's no place for the legs! I ripped off the black sheet underneath and found no place to screw in the legs. No worries though, you can use the arm rests that don't slide into place. The couch is cute and comfortable otherwise.

Product description is very inaccurate, images are misleading. Couch is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter than the pictures show, looks "old". "Pillow" top arms are practically useless both for laying and sitting. The seating itself is tiny (only 21" of actual seat)" and low to the ground, feels like sitting in little kid furniture. Above all that, you may order this item and wait a full month before the delivery date passes with no couch!!! Had to get another delivery date after the first. What an awful experience. ... show more
