This trimmer would not work when I first tried to use it. Turned out the AAA battery supplied was dead. Maybe it was in storage a long time? In any event, a fresh battery did the trick. After a couple months it started to slow down, replaced the battery but that didn't really help, then it died. I took it out to the workshop for a post mortem inspection, and found it was completely rusted inside. I never submerged, and really don't feel like I got it overly wet at all.
