Small but effective. The ultimate test was trying to get wrinkles out of linen. In my photo, on the left is the side treated by the steamer and the right side was not treated. As you can see it got out about 85% of the wrinkles but didn’t remove them fully. I also tried the steamer on denim (left side untreated, right side steamed) and it did a really good job, so it does work on heavyweight fabrics. Also, the liquid chamber is kind of small so if you have a fabric that needs more attention (like linen), be prepared to fill it up multiple times. I bought this because it has two steam vents on the face. Provides more steam area. I have several jersey knit dresses which are nightmares to iron. This steamer blasted through the wrinkles and was easy to use. It took me a while but it was my first try so I guess I'll get faster at it. Then I tried on a rayon blouse I dreaded ironing that was sitting in the "to iron" pile forever. NO JOKE - wrinkles came out instantly. This also works EXTREMELY well on gathered or puckered sleeves. You can also use this in conjunction with a conventional iron. I hate ironing the shoulder portion of cotton shirts. I used the steamer on the shoulder section of a cotton shirt then finished it with an iron. That also worked well. As other reviewers said, it's a little heavy but that's because it's SOLIDLY made. You'll have to fill the water reservoir a few times. With 1 filling I was able to to 2 dresses and 1 blouse. I don't see this as a problem. With all the low quality junk out there, I'm happy to get a QUALITY product. ... show more

I purchased this steamer to block my crochet projects. It works well. Be sure to follow directions and use a test swatch before applying steam to your work. It heats fast and is easy to use upright. It doesn’t tilt so takes a bit to get used to using. Be sure to protect your hands and whatever you’re laying your work against. Steam burns! ;) I’m sure this product will work well with other materials but have not tried it out yet. ... show more

Works EXACTLY as advertised. Heats up in 30 seconds or less and releases wrinkles before your very eyes. I had trouble removing water reservoir at first, but after three practices, it’s easy. Maybe it’s because it was still so new. It took a little practice learning the best angle to hold the steamer, but once I did, WOW! I like the tilted head position vs the straight position and I found that touching the garment with the slit where the steam comes out, works best for immediate release of wrinkles. I've been wanting a garment steamer for a while and finally got this one. It was very easy to use out of the box. It worked well on a dress, suit jacket, and dress shirt so far. The water reservoir is small but it needs to be so it's not super heavy.
