I am admittedly pretty lazy when it comes to ironing. I tend to put everything in a pile in the laundry room, until I start to feel guilt about it and begrudgingly pull the ironing board out. I've also been wanting a steamer for the longest because I hate when you go out in a coat for just an hour, and then it kind of gets that outdoors smell to it. I thought it would be nice to just be able to steam my heavier coats between washes or between dry cleaning. This is easy to use, although I'm not a fan of the water reservoir as it's hard to remove it. It also has a very small hole to fill up, and the water can kind of splash and bounce back. The reservoir fill hole definitely could've been bigger to make it easier to fill. It kind of takes a good amount of hand strength, and my hands aren't the strongest. The steam output is pretty decent, although it doesn't look like it at first but you can feel the temperature of the fabric. I followed the directions but stay a half inch away when steaming and that seemed to work pretty well. I personally really like it as an iron as well. It's just hot enough with the steam to relax wrinkles and get odd creases out. I wouldn't use this to press a uniform, but for the daily pile that likes to mock me in the laundry room it's perfect. It heats up easily, and I'm able to iron the ruffles on my daughter's dresses easily and get wrinkles out of my linen pants. It also has been helpful with refreshing jeans and coats when I don't have time for a full launder.

This product is easy to use! I ordered a pair of dressy pants from Amazon. They looked like they were permanently badly wrinkled. Even washing didn't help. This steamer took out every wrinkle! Then I steamed a blouse that came from the dryer that way. Beautiful and didn't even have to set up the iron and ironing board. Win! Win!

Puts out a decent amount of steam and irons a sharp crease in my husband’s work pants. I retired the old iron. Much easier to use than the big old iron I’ve had for 20 years

I was using a cheap no name hand held steamer for clothes and car related tasks (tint and clear film removal) for several years. It worked ok but it finally gave up the ghost a few months ago. I found this Conair brand name 2-in-1 on Amazon and decided to give it a try. Conair is a brand that has been around for decades and is almost considered a household name for steamers and clothes irons. Right off the bat, I used ultra filtered tap water (distilled is another alternative) as regular tap water has minerals and other sediment that can build up over time, damaging the unit. What's great about this steamer is how fast it heats up the water. I can take out minor wrinkles very easily in steam mode. When I need to really iron something out, I use it as a traditional iron with an ironing board but that is seldom since using it as a steamer is so much easier. In any case, it took out wrinkles on a pair of jeans as well as a semi-thick cotton shirt relatively easily. The unit feels relatively solid and should last for many years. It is not heavy and should not be taxing on even the most frail of wrists. This is a great buy since it is essentially two tools in one.

I have some clothes that are hard to iron with a traditional iron, even if with the steam setting. This iron is more a steam iron first, so thought it would be better. And it doesn't disappoint at all. I'm able to iron some of the more sensitive clothes while hanging and with steam. The iron is small, but I wouldn't say portable, as it's still a decent size. But you could take it with you if you need to. The cord is long enough to reach from most outlet positions. The nice thing about the cord is that it has a tie attached to it so you can easily fold the cord and keep everything tidy. Adding water is the one area that this is a but flawed in design. You pull the container out from the bottom, which feels like you're going to break it, but it comes out. Then the hole to fill the water is a bit small so you'll need to be careful when filling it. There's no funnel provided. It's also recommended (I'd say required) to use distilled water to keep the performance like new and deposits from forming. As for performance, it does a good job. It heats up fairly quickly and the steam can be turned on and off as needed. It steams evenly and it does a good job removing wrinkles (see the two photos of shorts I ironed). It's easy to use and hold in your hand. It's a decent value for what you get as well. Overall it's a very good steam iron and good if you need to use it for travel
