This is an essential piece in my audio setup toolbox. If you need to hook up a projector to a computer and PA system, this will eliminate the ground loop that creates fuzz and squeaking from the speakers. Also, in a marching percussion setting, we were troubleshooting a weird issue with our setup that involved 2 synths, 2 guitars, and 2 audio interfaces going into a P/A. The issue suddenly appeared in the finals lot when we were plugged into a generator. On a hunch, I ran 2 channels through this, and the problem disappeared. It saved us in a jam. This is the 2nd isolator of this model that I have purchased (bought for 2 different schools). It is a must have for performing arts settings that need flexible setups for different events. I have to admit that I didn't really expect this little box would take away my hiss problem when I ordered it. I saw other brand boxes that were 2 to 3 times more and looked identical, but the reviews on this thing were pretty high and the price was right so I thought I would give it a go. I'm sure glad I did because putting it on the cable running between my two amps completely eliminated the hiss. I tried it on the lines coming out of my mixer too, but it didn't have much effect on that problem, so, I guess it's really a trial-and-error type of thing. You're really not going to know if it will help in your situation until you try it. I have a prime membership which gives me free shipping and there are free returns which was part of my motivation. Bottom line, if you have hiss and a prime membership, you owe it to yourself to give it a try, I'm glad I did. ... show more

There was no hum or hiss from my Fishman Loudbox Mini guitar amplifier until I connected an Alto 5-channel mini-mixer between the guitar and the amplifier. When I did that the amp took on a very noticeable and very annoying 60 cycle hum. I installed the Pyle unit between the output of the mini-mixer and the input to the amp, and the hum was reduced significantly - at least 80% of it was gone. It was very easy to install - if you have the extra cables needed for the hook-up, and, while it didn't totally eliminate the hum, it reduced it to a very tolerable level. ... show more

Purchased this to remove audio noise from my equipment due to a ground loop. Adding this onto the line removed the line noise, which was what this purchase was intended for. Had the same effect by simply adding a ground adapter on my speaker plugs as well and that method is a lot cheaper. Both seemed to work about equally. After trying a few other more expensive isolators, this Pyle 1:1 600 ohm stereo isolator works great with my Pyle PMXU46BT mixer for isolating the audio/radio signal path in my ham radio station, which allows me to use any of 4 microphones for any 2 radios with no noise.

I am not getting any money to post this review. I wanted to get that out of the way before I leave a relieved and glowing review. This thing works. I am running two high gain amps on the same power circuit meaning same power line into the room and the amps plugged into the same power strip. Previously, when changing channels to run the amps, the ground hum would make you want to leave the room. It made everything nearly unusable. I researched and found this thing and thought I would give it a try. Price was lower than my cheapest pedal but had to try. It f’ing worked! I am able to use my setup in the configuration I have it set up for. Stereo FX loop, all three channels and all of my guitars without any crazy 60 cycle hum. The original issue was so bad, my EHX Silencer couldn’t touch it. Just follow the instructions and you will not be disappointed.
