The battery case will accommodate three NiMh rechargeable 9-volt batteries (not included), but will operate without them installed. The COMBO-2 makes both clear and yellow cs, depending on processing time. 5 ppm and 10 ppm are clear, 15 ppm is faint yellow and 20 ppm is yellow. Above 20 ppm the cs orange to reddish brown. The photo is 20 ppm. The two 6-inch 14 gauge 9999 pure silver wires will make about 75 gallons of 15 ppm cs. The unit can also use thicker gauge silver wires, which reduce processing times. 6-inch 12 gauge silver wires will process 33% faster and 6-inch 10 gauge silver wires will process 50% faster. Okay, so I had to write a review after a few weeks of using this. I have been investigating colloidal silver for many years. I have been on the fence about the "miracle cure" but I have had great personal success with it on several occasions. But this is not a review on colloidal silver--it is a review of this product. $75 seemed like a lot to spend really. I have made my own CS generators in the past (three 9-volt batts and some wiring), but you have to take into account that silver itself is quite expensive thanks to the gold price spike. Gone forever are the $5 an ounce silver days, and those tiny rods are not cheap, even if you bought them yourself. Okay, so does this thing work? Is it a good value? Is it a hassle? The whole thing is beautifully packaged. I really like the clear plastic zipper pouch. Everything fits inside it and it is durable enough to withstand (minor) daily abuse. You get a few pages of brightly colored information on the wonders of CS and a few pages of instructions on how to use THIS machine. I read everything--nothing I haven't read dozens of times before. So it passed the first test: it was in-line with my research. You see in the product images *exactly* what you will get. A pair of silver wires, the timer, green scrubby pad, and the machine. Oh, and the thermometer is a nice touch, but I stopped using that after the novelty wore off. Dollar for dollar this is the VERY BEST colloidal silver kit I have ever seen, at any price--and speaking of pricing--it is worth it. It is ridiculously easy to use. Push red and black tabs, inset wire. Noting could be easier. Insert in water--light comes on. Voila. I suggest making half a gallon at a time. This *does* make colloidal silver (and ionic) so that other reviewer was wrong (sorry). It depends on the WATER YOU USE. Do **not** not not use tap water. Never. Under any circumstances. Use distilled water (look on the water jug label fine print to see the words "reverse osmosis, filtration AND steam distillation"). Don't worry, water is cheap. Less than a buck a gallon. Run the machine for 20 minutes, clean the rods thoroughly, run for 20-30 more (my suggestion, you do what is best for you). I am NOT a doctor and this is NOT medical advice. I can't tell you health benefits or to drink 6-8 ounces a day for a week, or anything like that. So I won't. All I have to say is that this machine works and it is easy to use and it is a LOT cheaper than most machines I have found online. The guy who puts this together really does an expert job. They care and it shows. As to pre-made colloidal silver in a bottle, well this seems to work just as well, even though they state you will get 250-1,000 ppm in their bottle. I have a water tester and I get 20-30 ppm after a few cycles (remember to clean the rods after 15-20 mins, and shorter increments of time once the water gets more silvery). I have been at this for over a decade, so I speak from experience. I wish I could tell you more but I am not going to get in trouble with the AMA or the FDA. Anyway, thanks for reading. I happily received my generator four days faster than expected and I also received my second .9999 Canadian silver coin in the mail which I wanted to use making C.S. My generator came securely packaged and upon further inspection everything in the pamphlet was in the kit. I was impressed with the simple, colorful, easy to follow directions that came with this unit. You can tell this company cares about its customers. You can buy 4oz bottles of C.S. from an retail outlet for $20 bucks, which would be $160 for a 32oz jar of it. I just made a 32oz jar of C.S. with this generator AND will get another 100 gallons of 10ppm C.S. out of these two rods for only $80 bucks (the cost of this machine). Yep, this machine has paid for itself twice over after making just my first batch. This is one of the best investments I have made in my life and one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon.So if over the life of the two silver rods that came with the generator I get 100 gallons of 10ppm C.S. then the cost will be... $80 for 400 quarts of 10ppm C.S. or I can pay $8,000 for 400 quarts of C.S. at an retail outlet. Think I'll go with the $80 bucks. I set the generator up and made a 32oz jar full of silver. It had a rather pleasant taste to it. Kinda fresh and crisp and alive. I then got my drill out and drilled a hole in the center of my two 1oz Canadian .9999 pure silver coins. I scrubbed them with my scrubbie then hooked them onto the wires and made a batch. I haven't tasted that batch yet, I will tomorrow though. This stuff is fresh and strong so I'm glad I only drank about an ounce or so of it total. I could FEEL it working up my back and into my brain. It then went throughout my body and started upsetting some parasites and they tried to run out of my rear end, but I tightened up and kept them in. They've got to DEAL with that C.S. baby! Then my tummy started gurgling and I passed gas. I think those worms got killed because they quit moving. I wouldn't take too much of this at first because it is FRESH, not that stuff that's been sitting on manufacturing warehouses, distribution warehouses and store shelves for months on end. Titrating up is what I'm doing. Thank God I listened to that advice from myself. This C.S. generator makes some stuff that is actually working in my body, I can feel it. Can't wait till tomorrow to do two ounces to see what happens. Update: 1-6-16 I made two quarts of C.S. the first day I received the generator in the mail. My first batch was 4ppm and my second batch was 5ppm. I could feel it working in my body because I was getting a little dieoff. I decided that was just a little bit too weak for my taste and wanted to get it a little closer to the "yellow" hue that I saw in some samples in the accompanying literature which was like 15ppm. I made another batch last night and I just tested it (I forgot to last night) and it's 14ppm. THIS stuff is REALLY good. It's like I can feel the silver coursing through my body eating away at unhealthy junk that needs to be eradicated out of my body. I drank about 2oz of it this morning on an empty stomach before I ate anything. I will drink two more ounces tomorrow morning then commence with drinking 4oz per day to see what results I get. ... show more
