This ice machine has given me nothing but trouble since I have gotten it. It stops making ice multiple times a day and gives me a code nonstop. I constantly have to restart the entire machine for it only to continue making ice half of the time. I have tried to reach out to customer service multiple times and nobody will get back to me. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

This machine came extremely well packed. If you have existing plumbing, all there is to do: remove the packing, hook up the water supply, drain hoses and plug it in. Pulling the protective plastic coating off of it however, was a nightmare. It isn't like the protection on the screen of your new TV. It's STUCK. It is applied before assembly, so get an exacto knife ready....you'll need it get around the pieces clamped down when it was put together. Not a deal breaker, but removing the film takes hours, not minutes. Here's the part that I don't know how to handle. The touch screen is a rather bright LED. The flying insects are attracted to the LED screen which illuminates the ice making mechanism. They entered through the vent holes straight into the ice bin and water tray, When I allowed the ice bin to completely melt after a few days of use, there were dozens of bugs in the bottom of the bin. Perhaps a shield can be installed over the rear of the touch screen so the bugs won't be lured inside of the machine??? Something to consider if your machine will be on a loading dock or in a large non climate-controlled building (like mine). Also, it is pretty loud. Especially the ice dump. It will scare you the first few times. Having said all of this, I am pleased with my purchase. I've only used it on one occasion but, the amount and quality of ice is stellar. Provided it continues to perform as it has and I find a way to mitigate the insect problem, I would recommend. Update: The light is actually an LED intended to light the ice bin. I followed the wire to the circuit board but couldn't unplug it because it was glued in with silicone. I've obscured the light and have the machine running. I'll update in a week or so. How much trouble/expense would it have caused to switch the light....maybe even integrate it with the touch screen. Maybe it is. The instructions are extremely vague.

As of now it works real well and making ice the only issue is taking off all the white coating from machine pain in the butt! Other than that great ice maker
