This is a handy little ice maker. I've taken it to pool parties and I use it at home when my fridge ice maker isn't working properly. I like the ease of use, I have another, albeit, larger, ice maker and cleaning it is kind of a pain. This one it's super easy and I don't have draining and hoses to deal with. I like to use filtered or bottled water if possible to help with mineral build up. This would be great for a dorm room, or a home bar. The ice isn't as solid as you may get from a regular freezer, but it works for my needs.

This portable ice maker is exactly what i was looking for. My ice maker in my fridge broke and it was either fix or replace until This perfect machine came along. I want sure how this would really work but it was like magic. Add water, hit the start button and start making ice. They advertise 9 cubes in 7 minutes however, as you can see from the picture it was more like 20 cubes in 10 minutes. I like that i can choose the ice size and literally make ice on demand. No more bags of ice in my freezer. it has a sleek design and is well made. It is very quite which was a great surprise. I would highly recommend this if you are in need of an ice maker.

The media could not be loaded. I got tired of using ice cube trays in my freezer because they take too long to freeze AND the trays gobble up space; this portable countertop ice maker is exactly what I needed to stock plenty of ice and not have to wait for more cubes. It has options for small and large "bullet" shaped nuggets, and the push-button display panel is easy to use. It lets me know when to add water to the reservoir and when the ice tray is full. A silicone plug underneath the unit is a cinch to pull out so surplus water can drain into my sink without tipping the machine before storage if I need the extra counter space. There's a removable slotted basket that nests inside the front above the water reservoir, so if cubes sit in the basket too long and begin to melt, the water cycles back into new ice cubes. I periodically dump the basket of ice into gallon Ziploc bags and store them in a freezer, but a small scoop is included and can be used to put ice directly into drinks. The ice maker is surprisingly quiet, fast, and it does just as I'd hoped: it keeps my family stocked up on ice! If you're tired of messing with ice cube trays and freezing times, I highly recommend this ice maker.
