I love this ice maker, it is fast and small enough to fit on my counter under the upper cupboards. It is a bit noisier than "whisper quiet", but that doesn't bother me. It does bother my husband, though :-) It makes a basket full of ice in no time at all - less than 15 minutes! I use filtered water so the ice is neutral tasting for any drink. When we got a new refrigerator the ice maker wasn't included, and the kit that went to that model had terrible reviews. I decided to go with a countertop ice maker instead and got this one when it was on sale. So far, it works great. I waited 3 hours after unboxing to allow the oil to settle, cleaned the basket and wiped out the inside. After filling the compartment with water and turning it on, it spit out the first round of ice in around ten minutes. (I threw this first batch away just to be safe.) It was amazing to me how much ice I got for the amount of water I put in! Every couple of rounds of ice, I would empty the basket into a container in the freezer and did this until it was full. The ice did stick together some, but was pretty easy to break apart. Once it was finished, I emptied the remaining water from the ice machine (there's a plug on the bottom of the machine that you pull out to drain it into a bowl) and dried the inside. I plan on using this machine about every two days based on our current ice usage. I've seen some people saying they keep the machine going 24/7. I also see some people complaining about the machine dying in less than a year. I don't know for sure that those two things are related, but I imagine keeping it running constantly isn't the best idea. At the quick rate that it creates ice, I'm also not sure why you would do that. Keep making ice until you have the amount you need, then drain and dry it for next time. I imagine it will last far longer this way. I'll keep using it in this manner and update this review when it finally dies to let you know how long it lasted using this method. UPDATE: Well, it died. Lasted from July 2023 until December 2024, so around a year and a half. Honestly, we took really good care of it and only used filtered water, so it's a biiiiiit disappointing that it already quit working. It worked well and made a lot of ice for the year and a half it worked, so I suppose it's up to you to judge if this sounds worth it to you! I wouldn't count on it lasting longer than this, though.

Love this ice maker and within mins of turning on I have ice. It's looks clean and fits great with all my other appliances on the counter top. The ice maker has an sensor that will stop if to much Ice is being made so you don't have to worry about iver flow. Also it keeps the ice for a few hours before melting. Keep in mind this isn't a freezer and won't keep the ice solid. What I do is have some freezer zip bags to store the unused ice for later use. You don't have to worry about filling over and over with water. It does have a fill line and shows you how much the water tank can hold. I would definitely recommend this ice maker

UPDATE: After about 3 months, the "Add Water" light stopped working and I realized that there is no difference between the "small" and "large" sizes. We still use it though. Might go and find another one with smaller cubes. Original: My boyfriend and I go through ice a lot and having to refill the one ice tray over and over again and wait for it to freeze is SUCH a pain. Then we found this ice maker and honestly, all of our problems are pretty much solved. I was skeptical at first because the ice basket was so small, but it makes ice so quickly that it doesn't even matter. I can use the entire ice basket to fill my giant water bottle and then come back and use the refilled ice for a smoothie. It's so convenient! And the cool part is that it recycles the water, so if the ice melts, it drops back into the water basin and reuses it to make more ice. You rarely have to refill the water! We are so grateful that we got this; definitely worth the buy.

Makes ice like nobodies business! There is a dump tray under the ice making grid that was rubbing on the rubber hose on the right side that goes down to the water pump. It was preventing the dump tray from popping back up so it could start on the next batch of ice. I was able to push the pump and hose with my finger over to the right side and fixed the problem. Wanted to mention it in case anyone else runs into the same issue. Makes different sized cubes which is nice! I still have to peel off the white plastic covering over the stainless but that looks nice too. Now everyone in the house can be ice hog’s and still have plenty of ice! Go smoothies and sugar free ice cream not stop!

I wish I had returned this product early immediately but I thought I'd figure out how to work with it. Bad idea! . I replaced an older larger ice maker with this in March and now, in July, I am going to get rid of it. Yes, it makes ice but the ice melts in the machine almost immediately which means that you cannot leave the ice in the ice maker. Within minutes of the ice being made, it is necessary to transfer it to a freezer. Unfortunately the ice is wet to begin with and it sticks together into one huge lump which you then have to break up with a hammer. If you go out of your house and forget to empty the machine, when you come home, your ice will just be water. This is not a functional ice maker. It was a complete waste of money.

This was a great little machine while it lasted. I bought it for our four-person office July 2023, used bottled water & cleaned it regularly; came into work one Monday morning in December and it had overheated and turned off. It was efficient, quiet & did the job. RIP, little ice maker.
