We already had experience with this brand, as we purchased a single door for our church's coffeehouse. So when it came time to replace our aging '80s era chest and upright freezers at home, we chose this double door unit. The product, itself is great. The quality of packing and shipping is suspect. The unit itself works well, but came with superficial damage to the sheet metal and on a broken pallet, which made unpalleting difficult. Further, the unit clearly spent time exposed to the elements for a lengthy period of time as the cardboard protecting the unit was water spotted and had black mold on it. Still, in spite of these issues, we kept the unit. It works and it would be a major pain to replace it for damaged sheet metal. We keep ours in our enclosed garage and have not had issues. Temps stay consistent and the defrost cycle works well. ... show more

We've had this freezer for two years and the condenser fan is squealing now. We called a service technician he said the fan was bad and needs replacement. He called the manufacturer and they said since he wasn't a distributor or customer they couldn't help him. We had to call to get help we gave them the model number and serial number and they told us they needed a picture of the tag on the fan that the parts were still under warranty. We took the back off the freezer got all the information and sent it to them. They came back and we had to remove the old fan and send it back then they would send the replacement. So we asked if we could just buy the fan they directly they sent us to a website to order it. So if you buy this freezer don't expect any customer service. They are very unhelpful. ... show more
