I had to return mine immediately. It's says in the instructions that it's supposed to come on at freezing. This one stayed on all the time. A waste of electricity. I'm going back to the Farm Innovations brand. At least it lasted thru the 3 year warranty period - then died. :(

I added this to my chickens water and it's been absolutely life changing! I used to bucket water out every morning that would freeze by 10 am on the cold days, this keeps water freeze free and even a bit warmer which I imagine is a nice little relief for my girls on a cold day
