Okay. MUST Resist making jokes. I've now had this for 6 months, and its still like new. Install. Simple. Sturdy, opens and closes smoothly after installing (first one in a while old ones hitched stuck, or were stiff to close). Easy to clean is an understatement. this seat is SEALED in Polly, so think the easy to clean of plastic, but the look of wood/bamboo which it is under the Polly seal. I used this on a 1968 round American standard. The seats you get from the local lowes or home depot just don't seem to fit right even though the measurements are correct, and they break after 6 months (when thru 5 of the them till purchasing this one) I think I'll skip the aerodynamics of the opening and its uncanny ability the stop photons from reflecting from the bowl. ... show more

I love the look and feel of the wood toilet seat. The biggest difference is that it’s warmer than other types of seats I’ve used. Plus it looks pretty nice! Installation was a breeze. All the necessary hardware is included. It sits flush and it seems pretty sturdy. It’s been a few months and we love it. The lid has a good finish. This was very easy to install - 5 minutes if you don't count the 10 minutes you'll spend cleaning when you see how gross the underside of your toilet is. The piano finish is nice and easy to keep clean and the seat isn't cold. My only gripe is that it isn't soft close - that would have been a really nice feature. ... show more

I have had a wood toilet seat to be consistent with the antique look I have. This seat had an unreal look to the grain of the wood. It may be OK for others, but a certain look is important to me. The seat was mad well enough, and I didn't actually install because of the disparity in grain, but it looked like the other seats I have installed. It may suit another buyer just fine. ... show more

It is functional for what it is. However, the back where the hinges are is a little diffrent than the one showed in the listing. The pictures of this item showed a solid bar between the hinges. The one we received did not have a solid bar and is just a little loose, no matter how tight we tighten the nuts under the bowl. ... show more
