I bought this dishwasher because I've never had one before, and my kitchen didn't have enough space for a full-size model. The connections in the back were straightforward to hook up, and the unit slid cleanly into place without requiring any unusual plumbing modifications. From a build and sealing perspective, leakage prevention has been flawless. The door gasket forms a tight, reliable perimeter seal, and all internal hose fittings and valve connections remained completely dry under full household water pressure with zero seepage beneath the kickplate. What surprised me most is how much usable volume is engineered into the interior tub. You can easily fit breakfast, lunch, and dinner cookware in a single run without overcrowding the sprayers. Being able to shift the height of the top tray makes a huge difference when you need to load awkward bakeware, tall mixing bowls, or large cutting boards below without the rotating spray arms catching on anything. We have an older 50's home with a small kitchen. When we bought the house it came with a full size portable dishwasher. portable as on wheels. These older houses have custom cabinets which are not as deep as standard ones and the portable washer stands 29.5 inches deep. It sticks too far into the room partially blocking the exit to the laundry room. The new built in is not only narrower at 18 inches. But almost 6 inches less depth. It makes it easier to get past when going to the laundry room or back door. I was impressed with the construction. Our old washer is all molded plastic inside. This Comfee looks like a commercial washer inside with stainless surround and rotating sprinkler. It feels solid and has a nice modern finish that looks sleek. I confess, we don't use the dishwasher that much. It spends most of the time standing open and used as a glorified drying rack, but we use it once or twice a week when the dishes get the better of us, or on weekends when we are feeling lazy. It works great, is relatively quiet. With only two of us, there is ample room for most of our dishes. There is some height adjustment with the top sliding drawer so you can fit taller items in the bottom. Overall, it's really nice. We just need some tiles for the counter top to make it conform to the rest of the kitchen.
