The coat fit me in a Small. I am 5'4" and 110 lbs. It is styled to go in at the waist which is flattering. There is enough room for me to wear cuddl duds under this coat. The zippers work very well. A few reviewers mentioned the inside pockets are not useful as they are not sewn at the bottom. My cleaner's seamstress fixed that for me for 10 dollars. In the past I have bought two down coats like this one. Sooner or later with those down coats, the feathers start sticking out. This synthetic is much better. Another trick when it gets super cold and windy later in the year is to get a synthetic puffy zippered vest to wear under the coat. It saved me while I recently was in Europe. It is light, warm, folds into a tiny packet. I had borrowed a Friend’s, but when I came home, I ordered one for myself. I only wish they did not put the logo behind the back right shoulder of the jacket.

Fit was perfect. Large was lovely - fitted with a shape at least, perfect length to mid thigh, sleeves a bit long but I’m normally petite sizes and they did not offer. I am 5’4 155 lbs. I can fit a sweater and a fleece vest under this without it being tight, and for our Maine weather, that’s what I need! Hood is perfect, the front zips up over the neck and chin and the hood is nicely fitted around my face without being tight or blowing in the breeze either. As far as warmth, I’ll update, but our Alaskan friends love it, so I’m sure it’ll be fine! I have a packable waterproof raincoat to wear over it as needed. No biggie. The Omni interior is odd, I’ll admit, and kind of sticky as you’re pulling it on. Only bit of feedback there. Otherwise, a steal at this price. ... show more

I bought this exact coat in the past but in dark blue and love it. I still wear it all the time but needed a black one. In previous years each of the coats I've bought from Columbia had a phone pocket; this one not only is lacking the extra inside pocket but the pockets for your hands are exposed on the inside rather than sewn into the lining of the coat itself as all my old Columbias have been. It's a minor detail and probably doesn't make it any less warm but I couldn't help notice they are more expensive but more cheaply made. ... show more

After several attempts to replace my old coat, I finally found what I didn't realize I needed! I love the the length, the easy double zipper access, but especially how warm this is without the bulk. I purchased elsewhere, my size medium. Fit was more for a child. Sold that and bought a size large, still too tight ,but struggled through the winter... That store no longer carried that brand or style.Extremely greatful to find it here in size Xtra large and Perfect fit.😎😎😎👍
