I give these 3 stars because of the false advertising: they are not waterproof. They will resist light rain for a while, but not more than that. I read the reviews that said they run small, so I sized up. I'm a 37–37.5, so I ordered an 8 wide. Ordering them wide was the best choice—so much more comfortable! They are very comfy. These are lightweight and very comfortable. I have tried several brands of hiking boots. Merrell, Soloman, Vasque, etc and these by far are the most comfortable. They do tend to run a size small. I normally wear a size 9 in shoes and had to size up to a 10 in these. They are very warm even in cold 20 degree temps. ... show more

Very comfortable! I was a little skeptical at first, because the shoes felt very stiff when I was walking around my house. I have back issues so I have to be careful with shoes. They just needed to be broken in. I walked for 3 miles at a national park l, and they were comfortable and provided the traction I needed for the dirt trails. Recommend getting some insoles for them. At first I thought these would not be wide enough in the toe box but after wearing them at home to break them in they fit perfectly. I wore these on my trip to Tahoe and it was great in the snow. With thick socks my feet stayed warm, and not a lot of slipping either. I still slid when the ice was very sleek but never fell so these were a great fit. They were also not too heavy and I’ve been wearing them all day and felt no pain on my feet which is something I struggle with because I’m prone to get callouses.
