To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

I was looking for a lightweight jacket that would work for the cool weather of Spring and Fall. I am 5'2" and usually wear an X-Small or Small in a t-shirt depending on the brand. In most jeans, I wear a size 1. I really liked the burgundy color in this jacket, so I ordered a size small. Although the small fit, I didn't think it would work as a jacket - wanted something a bit looser. So, I decided to order this jacket in a medium. The replacement fit more like a jacket, which is what I wanted. I returned the size small and kept the medium. The pictures are me in the size medium. When choosing size to buy, there are a couple of things to consider. If you plan to wear it as a light jacket over a t-shirt, your normal size will work fine - especially if you plan to leave it unzipped. The sleeves are not snug at all and a little long for me, but fit comfortably with elastic at the wrist. The inside pockets are large enough to carry a cell phone, a checkbook, or a wallet. If you plant to wear this as a jacket and especially if you plan to keep anything in the inside pockets while zipped, it would be a good idea to order one size up. Anything in the pockets will show bulges on the outside if you order your normal size and zip the jacket. It isn't fitted at the waist, but that's one of the things I like about it. When it isn't zipped, it doesn't flare out around the hips. The jacket also has a drawstring at the bottom if you want to pull it in at the hips. So, what do I love about this jacket? 1) Very soft and lightweight, yet warm. 2) Can be worn as a jacket for chilly weather outdoors or inside in the winter when the house is cool. 3) Has 2 zippered pockets on the outside large enough to keep a wallet or small essentials. 4) Has 2 deep pocket on the inside to carry a cell phone checkbook, wallet, or other items of similar size. 5) It doesn't have a hood which can get in the way if you have long hair, and really isn't necessary indoors or in mild weather. 6) The collar stays down and does not have to be up around the neck. 7) The zipper works great and is not at all stiff or hard to zipper. I initially bought the Bark color, which is dark brown, to figure out the size I liked best. Since I like this jacket so much, I put 4 more colors on my wish list for Christmas - rich wine (burgundy), charcoal heather (dark grey), burnt orange (can't find color name), and a medium grey (can't find color name). My husband bought all of them probably thinking I would return a couple of them. I love them all and they go with different outfit colors. So I kept them all. I bought this in a size up to get me through the remainder of my winter pregnancy, since my normal fleeces no longer fit. I'm normally (pre-pregnancy) a 4/6 and would usually be buying a medium in clothing like this -- which technically may already be sizing up -- to avoid being constricted and to accommodate my long arms. I bought the large, and it's perfect right now at 6+ months pregnant -- roomy and arms are definitely long enough. This is a very reasonable price for a cozy fleece. It is not as thick as some of the other jackets I own, but it is perfect for cozying up around the house or using as a layer. I'm newly a fan of Champion for nice quality products at a very reasonable price, having also bought some Champion lounge shorts and sweatpants specifically because my normal clothes don't currently fit. My only issue was picking a color, and I ended up not being able to pick just one! The Canyon Rose color is pictured true-to-life and unfortunately washed me out, so I returned it and bought a few different color options to try instead. I settled on Wild Geranium and Blue Heron -- hoping they aren't too enormous on me after my pregnancy is over. I'd love to see some more green and yellow options in this fleece, and red options in more sizes. By the way, the Dynasty color (one of the ones I'm not keeping) is blue, not purple. The photo I saw on Zappos or 6pm is more accurate for the color. ... show more

I saw this on sale and wanted a warm jacket for cooler days. I purchased a large so that I could wear it over a light sweater and the fit is perfect. I’ve got the extra room to move without any tightness across the back and it doesn’t restrict my movement. I was only disappointed that the color selection was limited due to the sale. Colors I would typically buy were not available. But that says something about the product….. being in high demand! Go for it!! ... show more

Ok, I’ll admit, when I find a garment that fits me great and is extremely comfortable I tend to become obsessed with it. I own 6 of these and I love all of the colors, especially the Lily red, the colors are so beautiful. I wear these every day from early Fall to late Spring, they are my go to jackets for my mountain hikes, park walks and all my daily outdoor activities. The fit is true and I can move in this jacket. I love that the neck zips into a turtleneck. The side pockets have a zipper which I love and this even has an interior pouch for my gloves, also by Columbia. I’ve tried Amazon brand and several others and they are not nearly the fabric or fit of Columbia, you get what you pay for. I am 5’9” 158 and the large fits me perfect with room to move. I was worried about the length, it looks short in some of the photos but it’s not at all, it just above my crotch, perfect length and my broad shoulders have plenty of room across the back, no pulling anywhere, I love this jacket and dare you to choose just one!
