I got this for $15.....columbia and marmot are my go to for outerwear except for rainjackets and packable windbreakers then I head to patagonia or REI. Is almost a $150 value when compared to other brands. The color is great but it had the texture of a new brillo pad when it came out of the box. After a cold wash and tumble with fabric softener it has the perfect nap for my upcoming trip to the high country. When spend more when you can get similar or better quality with Columbia. Columbia has been around since 1938 and I trust their gear above other brands and appreciate the lower cost and consistency in quality. I have two of these (blue and green) and the colors are beautiful and laid back. The material is typical Columbia quality and I guess lightish midweight for a synthetic sweater. Stitching is good, cuffs are good. I like the plastic snaps. The sweater is cut a little long and a little full for typical M/M but it hangs very nicely and works for this garment. I use these under my down jacket, unlined anorak, and rain shell and enjoy the added neck and tail coverage and comfort. Great for use at home and around town and a good recreational utility layer. I'm giving it 5 stars, although it's a bit too big for me. I'm a woman, but I'm tall (5'10") so I usually buy men's shirts and jackets because it's so freaking hard to find anything long-sleeved in women's sizes that are long enough in the arms.
