  • Quality for price
Fit Type: Regular Size: Medium Color: Blue Jay, Columbia Navy
I ordered one of the cheaper jackets on Amazon, and that didn’t turn out well, and returned, then found this and though I’m not a fan of Columbia(don’t get me started), at least I know the brand well, and found the orange-red chili color for twenty five but Amazon showed it would take a month to deliver(watch out when ordering), so I looked again and then saw the blue one for twenty nine and ordered. Came with a retail price tag of seventy five. Whatever all that means. Was looking for a cheap rain jacket that works, that was all. I’m a short guy at 5’4” and 165lbs, 41-42” chest, and usually wear a 31-32 waist. I ordered a medium and it feels exactly half a size larger, likely tailored just a tad larger to give room for layers underneath. Being short, I expected the sleeves to be long on me, but they weren’t egregiously so, and the Velcro holds at wrists so sleeve length doesn’t seem like a big problem. This isn’t exactly like a fitted jacket but half and half between a windbreaker style and old fashioned raincoat. It’s a bit baggy and roomy. The cut is rather “universal” and I wish was a bit more slim and flattering but this way will fit most body types. Not a big deal tho. It does have a packable pocket inside for packing the jacket into but I haven’t tried it since I want to keep the DWR intact as long as possible before my hiking trip and don’t want to wrinkle up severely beforehand. The packable pocket is vented netting which I imagine would be friendly for wet jackets though I still wouldn’t pack a wet jacket for more than a day cause mold. I haven’t tried the waterproofing either but I bought this for hiking and later monsoon seasons in Southeast Asia, and so I got a backup poncho anyways, and the jacket label says waterproof(look picture), so yeah, it ain’t one of those windbreakers that some salesman is trying to sell as a rain jacket. I’m sure it will be fine for my use. The craftsmanship and manufacturing seems very well done, and all in all, can say for sure for thirty bucks was a bargain. Happy with it, though I kinda did like that red chili color better. This is one of those rain jackets that scream, “hey don’t judge my baggy fit cause I’m a raincoat,” and the orange color fits that a bit better imo. Too bad orange wasn’t in stock when I ordered, but the blue looks good too. The jacket does look and feel quality for a lowly rain jacket. Thumbs up. ... show more

  • A jacket you can mush into pretty much any pocket or space
Fit Type: Regular Size: Large Color: Mountain Red, Graphite
This jacket is ideal for a quick application to be able to put on the instant the rain starts to fall. It's a thin jacket so it's not for the purpose of maintaining warmth, although if you happen to be layered underneath it it will efficiently keep the warmth generated by your body & the layers in & close to your body. It's stylish & looks great with just about anything, & I like how compact it can become allowing you to essentially shove it wherever, it can even mold into a small enough bunch to successfully fit into the pocket of some cargo pants. This jacket will keep you dry up until a certain point, if you're caught in a downpour the water will eventually begin to seap in causing moisture to build up underneath the jacket, but it's ideal for light-mid rain. I live in Seattle, so I have a decent amount of rain experience using this jacket & it has held up & maintained it's color & integrity. It's also nice to make a purchase produced by a company based in the Pacific Northwest. I'm sure there are plenty of cheaper options produced by companies overseas, but they won't be of this quality & that $ is much more of a benefit when applied to your local economy. I would certainly recommend this rain jacket. ... show more

  • Perfectly packable for college kids on campus!
Fit Type: Regular Size: Large Color: Delta, Shark
I shipped this to my son for college, it’s his first year and we had no idea how RAINY his college town is! This jacket does the job. He hates carrying around an umbrella but he also hates being soaked while walking to class, and it rains almost daily. He liked the color, the fit was true to size (6’1”, around 180lb, the Large is great fit for him), and it packs/rolls up into his backpack when needed. ... show more

  • Excellent quality but a little large
Fit Type: Regular Size: Large Color: Columbia Grey, Boulder
It fits looser than I expected but seems well made and does a good job repelling light rain. I haven't had a chance to test it in a heavy downpour yet.

  • Good raincoat
Fit Type: Tall Size: X-Large Tall Color: Tusk, Grill
Took to Alaska to go fishing. The two times it rained it severed it's purpose well. Didn't add much additional heat insulation which was good. It was 60 and all I wanted was a rain guard. It's thin and durable and well worth the price.

  • Great jacket
Fit Type: Tall Size: 4X Tall Color: Blue Jay, Columbia Navy
This is my third rain coat of the same model. I e bought them in different sizes as I e lost weight. I often have a hard time getting shirts and jackets that are long enough. This one fits great.

  • Good for light rain
Fit Type: Regular Size: X-Large Color: Mountain Red, Graphite
We bought these coats to have something compact for Florida theme parks since it rains everyday. If the rain is light and short, they are fine. A downpour will start to soak through. They aren’t the most breathable but better than the plastic, disposable ponchos. I just wish they folded up small into their pouch. They are too big folded to fit 2 in my backpack so we end up wearing them tied around our waists. I’m a chunky shortie with a large chest so I bought the men’s version because I read the women’s fit ran small. The sleeves are very long on me so I roll them up but the coat fits my 40 DDD chest and heavier hips great. (I’m a women’s size 16/18 or 1x/2x depending on the item.) I bought an identical coat for my men’s size XXL 6’4” boyfriend in a tall and his fits him perfectly. ... show more

  • Columbia quality at an affordable price
Fit Type: Regular Size: Medium Color: Mountain Red, Graphite
great fit, keeps the wind and the rain out, premium quality as usual with columbia. Red has high visibility for night walks with the dog.
