Just climbed my first mountain with these boots in freezing temperatures. My feet were warm, dry and comfortable the whole time. I was really impressed by the soft leather, I think is leather, and quality construction. The color speckles on the tread you see in the picture are thankfully not noticeable. After a few 2-5 mile hikes I got these boots broken in. I walked in some shallow puddles and wet grass in a field bog and my feet stayed dry. It's nice they threw in an extra lace too. Some cons are these boots are well insulated almost like snow boots and might be a little to warm in the summer and I hiked about 10 miles and these boots felt a little hard in the toes. The boots are very light and comfortable for the most part which is quite a feat because it's always a challenge to find shoes that fit my narrow feet. I only paid $60 for these Columbia boots, which was quite a bargain. ... show more

Solid boots that offer comfort and support—without weighing too much. Classic style makes them easy to pair with jeans, chinos, and nylon shorts. Yellow laces add a bit of flash. Accurately sized. Columbia products aren’t the hippest but they’re exceptional quality.

Second pair. First pair lasted 2 years of daily use. They probably should have lasted longer. I'm giving them a second chance because of the price and how comfortable they are. I was waering them now for 2 decent winter hikes including one where I had about 12 creek crossing, icy rocks etc. They are super comfortable, and most important, they kept my feet warm all the time, even walking through snow.     • Just what I needed. Hiking in Alaska!
Got these boots just in time for a cruise to Alaska. Great fit (my normal size) and very comfortable for everything from Air Travel to an ocean cruise, to walking about Alaska towns sightseeing. After the cruise adventure, they look like brand new. I'm very pleased.
