Columbia makes some fire puffer jackets. The green, black, and gold colorway looks so dope in person. It's thin, but It's warmer than it seems. It fits flawlessly and it kept me comfortable in around 30°F. Love it! I would get more colors for certain. Highly recommended!

My partner was born and raised in Colorado. He's worn old 90's poofy jackets his dad wore and he's layered up but it occurred to me he's never had a nice jacket like this. I got one years ago and recently replaced it last year and I decided to get him this one for Christmas. He's obsessed with it. He wears it around the house. His only complaint is the sleeves.. mine has the extra bit of fabric with the thumb holes but this one has elastic in it and just ends. Good for skiing/snowboarding probably, but he really wants those thumb holes so I'm going to add some in using an older shirt of his. Anyway, great coat, the thermal lining is fantastic. Just remember to put it on a few minutes before you go outside so you can build up your body heat. That's how this jacket works. Which is great because then when you go inside, you unzip and let the heat out, and you're not dying. Plus it folds down and rolls up and fits inside the hood so easy to pack. Great jacket except for the hood which is so deep it's an actual joke. It literally comes down to completely cover my nose. Needless to say, the visibility is very poor. Otherwise it's fine, actually a bit too warm for MA spring weather.

I have several heavy coats but wanted something lightweight that would still keep me warm so, I chose this jacket and am very happy with it. The golden Omni Heat interior lining has indeed kept me warm on cold days for the past month -- despite the fact it looks a gold lame jacket Liberace would have worn. Plus, the jacket is so lightweight, you could fold it up and stuff it in a backpack. This should work great the next time we fly up north to visit family in the Winter. I deliberately picked a hooded jacket (for wind/rain) but only expect this to resist a light rain. When traveling, I typically carry a rain poncho that I would just throw on top of it. My other coats are so heavy/bulky, I have to take them off before I drive or I cannot maneuver well.
